I love Star Wars so I will always watch the movies and TV shows and surely almost always enjoy them. So I will definitely keep watching Resistance almost no matter what. And I don't dislike it anyway, but I am starting to dislike Kaz the character. Am I the only one who feels that way?

I can understand why Kaz can be annoying to some people. He is goofy and often clumsy and at this point still pretty much incompetent at everything he does while a fish out of water on the Colossus. I myself get rather frustrated with Kaz not seeming to make any progress at becoming a mechanic. But I recognize that Kaz's weaknesses also make a great entry point into the story, especially for kids, who not only can relate to not being good at things (yet), but who like a good pratfall now and then to liven the place up. Kaz's naivete also makes him relatable to youngsters, if frustrating for adults. But I realize that he's not intended to be a realistic nineteen (or however old he is)--he's just supposed to be young, but not so young that he still needs parents to hold his hand.

The thing I appreciate the most about Kaz is that he really cares about people and he does the right thing whenever he can. He's very good-natured and doesn't let his extremely awkward and difficult situation get him down. (Or extremely difficult people.) He always hopes to get better and make a difference in his world. This makes him a perfect recruit for both the Resistance, and for a Star Wars hero.

    This!

Kaz is a fish-out-of water in a way. The show makes great pains of limiting what he's good at (piloting) to help him grow in other areas. This works great in theory (and should work great by the end of hindsight), but it doesn't allow us to see Kaz at his best.

Kaz is a character who's learning to be on his own and is coming into himself, and I can respect that. ...I think the humor is to blame too. Especially when the humor is based on events out of his control.

No. You are not the only one. I can't enjoy his character at all.

Kaz and the annoying green Alien guy. Both of them drove me from the show entirely. Maybe I'll come back to it later, but for now it's just not what I hoped it would be.

Neeku? I actually like Neeku. But maybe it's because he's always with Kaz and almost anyone seems good around him so far, haha.

I've had a chance to binge it recently, so I've managed to catch up enough to decide how I feel about Kaz. And, honestly, I don't mind his character that much. He definitely isn't as strong a character (so far) as either Ahsoka or Ezra, but interspersed between his goofy hi-jinks he has some good moments that make me genuinely like him.

Of course, I'm also someone who doesn't mind Jar Jar Binks at all, so maybe I'm just far more forgiving than most. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Up to this point my answer is "No." I hope that Kaz matures with the show and I think he will. But so far he leaves a lot to be desired. I found myself asking during many episodes, why on earth would Poe assign this kid to do anything? It really reflects poorly on his judgment. Even more so than attacking the Dreadnought! But the last episode before the break was by far the best we've seen for both Kaz and the series. I hope they build on that.
