Favorite Battle droid design

If I'm choosing one from this poll...I think they're all cool, but I'd have to go with the Droideka. I like that it's shielded, and can move fast when it curls itself into a ball.

Outside of these choices, I think the MagnaGuard is pretty epic.

 

Since TPM when I first saw the B1's I always thought they were cool looking. So much so that in the lead up to AotC I went so far that I made a full size head, arms and torso (like the top half that Jar Jar gets entangled with briefly during the Battle of Theed) out of misc cardboard pieces.
It's Long gone now but turned out pretty BadA** at the time.

 

I voted for the Droideka, I love the sound their blasters make.

 

Gotta go with the B1. Ahem, ahem, roger, roger.

 

I also voted for the Droideka. I would love a model of one of them! They have shields! How cool is that?

 

I went with the B1. I like them because they can be mass produced. Overall I like the design it's simple, without a lot of extra moving parts. No frills no thrills, just a war machine.

 

Honestly, I have never been a fan of the battle droid designs. I Imagined a more menacing standard droid, like the torture droid from RotJ, or IG-88 as a super battle droid.

I always thought it was reasonable to see these droids re-purposed somewhere and not just gone.

 

For me there's no competition:

 

Very, JediStarkiller... Very.

 

As a weapon of pure destruction, the Droideka roll right through the competition. However for pure design, I like the B2's.

 

B1- My favorite. They're just iconic. They do get pretty shafted after TPM, though, to the point of simply being comedy fodder in ROTS and TCW.

B2- Never was a fan of these guys. Not sure why, I just think they look too generic SciFi and less Star Wars.

Droideka- Really cool design, really tough droid. Took a close second, for me.

I also really like Greivous's Magma guards, but they weren't an option. If they were, they might have gotten my vote.

 

The droideka are very overrated in my opinion

I personally like B2 super battle droids. They aren't clumsy like B1 and they put up a way better fight. Plus Super battle droids were much stronger than their predecessors, and they did not require a command system to operate, which gave the droids limited independence. credit to wookiepedia.

 

Why isn't Magnaguard here? They're easily my favorite out of the bunch, they have some pretty cool-looking designs if you ask me.

 

B1 Battle droid plain and simple.

 

Classic B1 is my favourite. Used to love Droidekas as a kid, they seemed extremely lethal.

 

HK-47/51 are my favorite droids in the whole of starwars ya meatbags.

 

Im going to go with the B2 Super Battle Droids. These droids are high tech and very dangerous. They are also well armored. After seeing, SPOILER ALERT, those scenes in the Mandalorian where Mando’s village is being attacked by the separatists and those Super Battle droids have a more scary perception to them. They make me feel more scared of them in general. If we are talking all canon droids, I would go with commando droids because they look cool, are well programmed, very dangerous, and have the coolest combat.

 

I always admired how clever the design of the B1 Battle Droid was.
