    1.Vader
    2.Lumiya
    3. Maul

Vader is Vader, i don’t think I need to explain why I like him
Lumiya humanized the Dark Side a lot and turned them away from being generic, evil, bad guys.
Maul just has so much screen time with Clone Wars and Rebels, and so much captivating story, so he gets 3rd.

Revan overall, Maul after that, and Vader to round them all out.

    1. Emperor Palpatine
    2. Darth Vader
    3. Darth Maul
    4. Lumiya (I really, REALLY want LFL to reintroduce this character into canon somehow. One of the strongest characters from the SW EU!)

    5. ...if one allows it, Asajj Ventress, although she was never a proper Sith, I guess, no matter how much she wanted to learn their ways

I don't know much about Legends or comics, therefore I base my list pretty much on the movies and a little bit on Rebels. Therefore I say:
    Darth Vader
    Count Dooku
    Darth Maul

Since I'm terrible a picking favorites I am going to cheat and divide the lists between Canon and Legends.

    Canon -
    1. Darth Vader
    2. Darth Maul
    3. Lord Momin

    Legends -
    1. Darth Nihilus
    2. Darth Jadus
    3. Darth Bane

I think the Legends Bane trilogy has one of the best overall arcs of a Sith Star Wars has ever done. It doesn't really ever focus on a light versus dark perspective, but instead someone who never had a life that had light in it fall through the levels of the dark side and find himself and his own vision of it within it, losing what little moral compass or connection with the people around him until he can see nothing but a pathway of power and vengeance against both the Jedi and the weakened Sith as a whole. In general, I think it's one of the most intriguing character arcs ever done in Star Wars media.

    1. Darth Vader
    2. Darth Sidious
    3. Darth Plagueis
    4.Darth Bane
    5. Darth Vitiate

Honourable mentions: Darth Nihilus (I don't know enough about him to be able to call him one of my favourite Sith, but he seems so cool.)
Darth Tenebrous (I have only read about him in the Darth Plagueis novel in which he had a very small role, but he seems cool.)
Note on Darth Maul: I love Maul, but not as a Sith.
Note on The Old Republic era: I have only recently gotten into Legends and the only Old Republic era content I have read/played is The Old Republic: Revan, so perhaps if/when I play the KOTOR games or read a few more Old Republic era books (which I most likely will because it seems like a very interesting era and Revan and Vitiate intrigue me) I might include Revan in my list and Vitiate's spot could change.

This will be a unpopular answer. But my favorite sith is
    [IMG]
    DARTH SION

I just love the concept: he's a zombie Sith.

Darth Vader and Darth Revan I don't really consider them Sith because they redeemed themselves before they died. Sion died and remained a Sith (talking about commitment).

    YESSS!!!
So many people leave out these two and it saddens me. They're absolutely incredible.

From Bane's brute force and impenetrable defense when he acquires the orbalisks down to Zannah's Sith Sorcery. I just finished the trilogy book series for the 2nd time. Such a good listen.

No joke, the Bane trilogy is top tier in the SW-verse. When I finished the books, I instantly became one with the Dark Side and took on the Rule of Two in simple fan stories with friends. He's absolutely incredible and I love the depth of what he had to endure in order to make him the Legend he is today.

Nihilus was such a cool design, like everything about him.

The mask and hood (not a dark mask like so many other sith, but a creepy white one with what appears to be warpaint. And his strange voice, ugh so good.

I also really like how he serves as a sort of manifestation of the player's sins on Malachor V. He's like a living Mass Shadow Generator, having grown through his pain and suffering in a satisfyingly comic bookey way.

He's done kinda dirty in the story (Sion and Kreia get a lot more attention) but he absolutely dominates the art for the game. Guess he continues the Star Wars tradition of cool looking chumps, but hey- if the new canon is anything to go by, that means he's a prime candidate to get a second chance soon, if they ever do more KOTOR era stuff.
