What is your favorite Star Wars scene ever? For me it's the Obi-Wan vs Vader/Anakin duel in Revenge of the Sith. It would be my favorite by itself, but adding in the Yoda vs Sidious duel at the same time, going back and forth just makes it even better!

I have many, but one obvious choice are the Binary Sunset scenes from ANH, ROTS AND TROS.
The visuals mixed with music really invokes a lot of emotion.

I think Obi Wan and Darth Mauls scene was my favorite because it was just so poetic.

From the films? Man, that’s a tricky question. My answer’s probably not the most exciting, but I’m gonna have to go with “I am your father.” Hands down, the most iconic scene in the entire series.

The opening scene of the original Star Wars.

Princess Leia's ship is outflanked and outgunned, but it's still fighting.

After a moment the nose of the Star Destroyer comes into view. It's huge, with superior weapons and a tactical advantage because of its position. And it just keeps coming, slowly filling the theater screen with its massive size and sheer presence, and just when the audience thinks this thing can't possibly be any bigger it somehow does. How freakin' big is this thing?

Finally the engines, with their mysterious blue glow, come into view and roar through the speakers. We realize how helpless the Rebel ship is against this pitiless, too-big-to-exist Star Destroyer.

Why do I love this scene so much? Because before a word of dialogue has been spoken we already know how desperate the Rebellion's position is. They're smaller, weaker, at a disadvantage, about to be swallowed by the Empire, yet they're still returning fire. The scene sets up the entire franchise.

I was a ten year old boy in the theater in 1977. I don't think I even breathed during that scene. it was the most captivating moment I'd ever experienced and I've been a raging fanboi ever since.

Good point. This really is why I love the Rebellion. They are always fighting the Empire and came from nothing. They were at a huge disadvantage, but with the help of General Solo, Luke, and Chewie, they had a chance and destroyed the Empire.

I got the chills when I saw Hayden C. In the special edition and the Obi Wan/Yoda ghosts standing beside him. Yeah, I know it wasn’t originally Hayden, but he was Anakin in II and III. Every time I finish Episode VI I think “my god, George just tied it all together.” That last scene (with the montage of galaxy celebration scenes) wrapped up the saga in a way the sequel trilogy could not.

I know right? It is amazing how Anakin was saved by his son and became one with the force as a force ghost. And seeing him in ROTJ and the Endor celebration, it does send chills. :)

If we're talking just the movies then it's easy: The opening scene of Episode IV

With a franchise that has so many to choose from and all for different reasons.

The opening scene of ANH, Luke and Vaders Bespin Duel and of course every time the twin suns appear.
I have to say though that the scene that still makes me feel like a seven year old to the point that when I hear the accompanying music on a soundtrack, the visuals play in my head and I lose myself for the duration of the tune, is the asteroid chase scene from Empire.
The roar of the Falcons engines along with the shriek of the TIE fighters, the twists, turns and near misses......
Sorry, got lost again, love this scene sooooooooo much.

@MandoChip You know Lucas just dogged his crew on that scene, it was changed more than 15 times. He wanted the star destroyer so huge, his effects guys said it couldn’t be done.....well you know the outcome, one of the most iconic and mind blowing scenes (for the time) ever
