This gonna be great! I wonder if the Roken's Rebels will play into it, somehow? (Possibly a later season). In any case, I can't wait for Andor :)

100% “I’m just getting started” classic Disney trait these days.

As far as I know, it's part origin story of Cassian Andor as well as showing some more backstory of the roots of the Rebellion. I feel like from the teaser that Mon Mothma will be used to tell that side of things, until we catch up to the point where Andor joins up with the rebellion.

So, watching the leaked 10 min IMAX promo clip, available here:
    https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2022/08/andor-imax-preview-makes-its-way-online.html

...I got really excited about this line:
“I know Biggs has a game; I know you bribe quartermasters to leave valuables on the ships before they come in for scrap, but this isn’t that.”

That must be a reference to Biggs Darklighter, right? Could we see him in the show? I have a weird need to see him, for some reason :D

I think this show is going to be as close as a perfect Star Wars project for me that is ever possible <3

    Aaaaand, that's a negative:

Turns out Adria Arjona's character is named Bix Caleen, Andor's love interest and partner-in-crime. That, of course is the "Biggs" that Luthen talks about in the clip. Sorry 'bout that...

I'm getting to the point, that there are too many trailers for Andor... If I watch anymore, I have a bad feeling, I'll be somewhat underwhelmed when the series is released... dropping 3 episodes is a good idea.

I was really pissed-off that I stayed up till 330am to watch She-Hulk, and half of the 30 minutes episode was in the trailers... however; I got over it... with that said, I still enjoyed it and watched it several times during the week.

With 23 odd days left, more trailers will be released for Andor. I'm gonna tap out at this point. The final trailer has not been released yet, so there is that. the first couple of trailers got me, for now, I'm done...

There was only one teaser and one trailer. As for all previous SW production we will probably only get some TV spots at this point.

From the time Tony Gilroy was attached to this show it became the SW D+ show I was by far the most excited about. The trailers and the preview scene have only upped my excitement! Everything about it looks fantastic. I think there is very high probability that this show will be head and shoulders better than any other D+ SW show. Everything just looks right up my alley for what I want in a SW series. Cannot wait until it hits the air next month!

For me, I'm not watching anymore TVSPOTS, I believe they are now for the general audience that may not know its being released, as for me, I've seen enough, trailers and tv spots do excite me, its part of the entire experience. There are those that edit trailers and tv spots, and put together a mini film, which for me takes away from the actual experience... 23 odd days left...

Back during the ST time trailers and stuff like that was part of the journey and experience. The hype was unreal.

But I agree about the TV Spots. I'm not a fan of those as well.

Tony Gilroy recently said, "I don’t think it’s a show for 9-year-olds, probably."

I know there may be some clamoring for more serious, gown up Star Wars, but this comment really disappointed me. I love watching Star Wars with my daughters, the oldest of which is 9. We've watched all the Disney+ shows so far and it's been a great experience. I don't like that Andor may be either be inappropriate for them, or incomprehensible to them. As an adult, I'm probably going to like it a lot, but I'm worried about the experience my children will have, or not have. This reminds me of all the new Star Trek on Paramount +. Star Trek is no longer something you can watch with your children and I think that's sad.

I can absolutely understand this, and I'm still glad Tarantino didn't get to make a Startrek movie. Because that is not what Star Trek was (and should be) in my eyes.
OTOH the ST and parts of the PT weren't really for nine years olds either. I just hope they don't forget that they should always have Star Wars that is watchable and entertaining for the whole family.

There is plenty Star Wars content for younger children, teens and young adults, so why not having content just for adults as well? Yes, SW is for the whole family, but families are different. Even as kid I would have preferred a more adult take like 'Andor' over a show (like 'Resistance' or 'Rebels') which is mainly young audience focused. I don't watch these shows because I know they aren't made for me. People who dislike 'Andor' for their darker tone or who think it's not appropriate for children, just shouldn't watch it then.

Trying to please everyone with one single show will never work, so focusing on different aspects in different shows is the right approach IMO.

I too get the complaint that certain Star Wars is too adult for children, but, as a matter of taste, I certainly like that. I saw ANH when I was 8 and I didn't comprehend a thing about it, and I was scared to nightmares by the very dark and frightening parts (tosted Owen & Beru, trashcompactor, all the desperate running around trying not to get killed by "the whities" [as I called the Stormtroopers], and the entire being and presence of Darth Vader). None of that stuff was "appropriate" for an 8-y-o, but by the Whills I loved it so.

As I recommend ANH to parents with kids, and also recommend (what we've seen of) Andor, which, to be honest, is more vanilla than ANH.

But in the end, this is and always will be a matter of taste. Moreover, I think @NinjaRen has a point in that there's a lot of kid-friendly SW and it might be a good thing for SW to branch out in some ways.

Did your 9-y.O daughter watch Episode III The Revenge of the Sith rated PG-13? No traumatism?
I'm still wondering to show it to my 12 y.o son ... well, OK, now, the time may have come. I must admit we've recently seen Rogue One (mainly in order to prepare him for the characters & action in the Andor series) and this movie is also rated PG-13.
