General Lego Star Wars Discussion Thread

And they won’t stop with Star Wars. Harry Potter is back. I’m sure, that’s good news for some.

 

Here are some impressions on last Weekend’s assembly process. It was really a deal to getting my hands on that AT-ST with 40% off the original price.

Meanwhile, I dig the whole concept of those Patrol Troopers being part of the Stormtrooper Crops. They are replacing the local police/security forces as on Corellia with forces loyal to the Empire and not to local Authority. So they’re not an Evolutionary sidekick of the Biker Scouts we all know, but something like a military police that exists in parallel.

 

A buildable Porg set was revealed! AAAAAAAAAAAAA! I'M SO EXCITTED ABOUT THIS!!!!!

 

Dude! Time is right for a stop motion clip with your ground forces on your huge "jungle planet set"

 

Well, two weeks ago I was close to expand that army a bit further when visiting a small book & toy shop in the harbor town of Hirtshals. Each year, this one has all the new Lego sets from the 1st of August on.





It was very tempting at that point, but I stayed strong, just bought the Harry Potter set with the Whomping Willow and the Hogwarts gate house as a birthday gift, as those HP sets are announced only for October here in Germany.

Meanwhile, I can get the new SW sets also at the local super market. At least the cloud rider swoops…

 

my dear friend.. you do realize that on this site, a show of strength in a lego store is to buy all the SW sets?

and what is this 'Harry Potter' you speak of?

 

Whenever I see this set...


... I want to buy it. But then I see the price and ask myself: what would I even do with it? Hahaha!

 

have you seen the Snoke throne room set? i am so tempted....

but yeah, i have such a huge pile of legos at this point and no clue what i'll do with them eventually. it's ridiculous. : o p

 

Enough resistance against barely used lego sets
I am going to by the star destroyer set as soon as I get to the next lego store (maybe tomorrow, who knows?)

Yes, I did and I'm disappointed. Only one guard and no Hux. No, thanks!

 

it does come with two guards. but yeah, no Hux.

 

Still not enough guards and Snoke's throne takes to much battle space.

 

It's done. We carrying the FO star destroyer home right now.

incredible to see those 3 characters in such a small set !

I once bought the Sith Infiltrator Ship becuase my son wanted a Darth Maul figure. And then one year later you could get one with this much cheaper set.

 

Haha. I did exactly the same (..the price is high for a Maul figure when young sons need them momentarily and dads aren't able to resist..)

If anyone wants to buy this for me... that would be really nice.
