I'll probably pick up the Rey/Kylo Starkiller Duel set as it's quite cute and (like i mentioned previously) the 20th anniversary Snowspeeder and Slave 1 kits are pretty cool even if they're not much more developed than previous versions.

The 'action attack sets' much like the recently released kid friendly ship sets (X-Wing, TIE etc.) doesn't really do anything for me - but let's be honest, I'm a good 30yrs beyond the target demographic for them anyway!

Other than the Action Attack sets (which were designed with kids in mind), I think this is a pretty solid wave. I don’t know if I need another Slave 1 considering how I just got the UCS version not too long ago, but I’ll try to pick up the other 20th Anniversary sets, as well as the Resistance sets and Rey Vs. Kylo. Overall, the sets are pretty decent. The prices, however, are not. Fortunately, they’ll probably already be 20% off by the time they start hitting the shelves so I can’t complain too much. It seems that the UCS set for May will almost definitely be a Tantive IV, as a Captain Antilles and an updated ANH Leia (with skirt piece) minifigures have leaked online.

I don’t think we’ll be getting any Clone Wars sets until next year unfortunately. My ideal wave would be a Republic Gunship, AT-TE, ARC-170, MTT, AAT, and Corporate Alliance Tank Droid, as well as a 501st Battle Pack and a Battle Droid Battle Pack and with new versions of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Maul, Bo-Katan, and some new Clone Troopers thrown in. I may have given a little too much thought to this...

We’re technically getting one in April with Major Vonreg’s TIE Fighter. There are also instructions online for converting a normal TIE Fighter into a TIE Interceptor. But yeah, I’d like to get a normal Imperial Interceptor as an offical set someday!

We’re getting some rumors for Episode 9 and Jan. 2020 already! (Assuming that these are legit rumors of course.) For Episode 9, we’re reportedly mainly getting more remakes of classic vehicles yet again: a new AT-ST, A-Wing, Y-Wing, and Millenium Falcon, as well as a new Kylo Ren Command Shuttle and another mystery set. Bummer, as I already have at least one version of all of these vehicles, except for Kylo’s Shuttle, which will hopefully be more accurate this time around. There’s also supposed to be a Yoda in the same scale as the BB-8 and Porg of recent years. As for 2020, the current rumors are an Anakin Vs. Obi-Wan set, an Obi-Wan Tatooine homestead set, some Microfighters, and a couple other mystery sets, some of which may be from The Mandalorian.

Lol we don't need another A-Wing or Y-Wing. Heck or Millennium Falcon. We have plenty of those already! I would love to see a new B-Wing

Here are some of the rumored sets for early 2020 I find very interesting:
    • Obi-Wan vs. Anakin Mustafar duel
    • Tusken with Bantha
    • Obi-Wan’s house on Tatooine

Mixed weather and all, last weekend saw another Lego project, Set 7523.

Starting off with some roundish parts…
    HMP_Droid_Gunship_01.png

… resulting in some, well, kind of a round structure.
    HMP_Droid_Gunship_02.png

That even became rounder with time!
    HMP_Droid_Gunship_03.png

And there it was, the CIS Heavy Missile Platform (HMP) Droid Gunship from Baktoid Fleet/Haor Chall (accompanied by 2 Kashyyyk-style clankers).
    HMP_Droid_Gunship_04.png

On the opposing side, a glorious Chieftain Tarfful made his stand, together with Master Yoda.
    HMP_Droid_Gunship_05.png HMP_Droid_Gunship_06.png

So when the CIS amassed their troops for an attack…
    HMP_Droid_Gunship_09.png

    HMP_Droid_Gunship_11.png

… parts of the Republican Army were already there to meet them.

Went to a Lego store around Easter and saw all the new Star Wars Sets on display. It was very disillusioning to see what they brought forth with these.

It really will be just the Slave I for me (which is quite good in my opinion), and the AT-RT if it gets on sale somewhere.

Yeah, there’s not much in the current wave for me - apart from the Death Star Escape which I’ll pick up when it goes on sale... I ended up picking up a heavily discounted Overwatch Reinhardt & D.VA set this past weekend instead.

The Death Star Escape is kind of cool - my wife bought it already a while ago. Actually, the little one is now aiming for the Duel at Starkiller Base.

Lightsabers will always be my favorite Star Wars collectibles, especially screen accurate ones, but after that, the Lego Star Wars ships and vehicles are next. I'm not sure what it specifically is about them, but they are just so cool.

I see what they did here: Less bricks for more money. Lego’s current “Grab ‘em by the wallet” philosophy in full swing.

    lego_obi-wanss_hut.jpg

Of course, I will by this stuff because. But as a hut and playset, it falls short. Anybody remember the old Hut of Hagrid? That’s what I call a hut! An open-up playset with a surrounding and interior, with complete base plates and everything.

The Engines and the seats of this new landspeeder look nice. But nice is not enough if you already own 2-4 of the previous models. Those vehicles became pretty inflationary over the last years.

I guess Lego likes remaking certain sets every couple years. We get a new Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, AT-AT, Landspeeders etc. every three to four years, because those sets sell well and as some of the most iconic things from Star Wars, I’d assume that Lego and Lucasfilm want a version of each on shelves at all times. That might be annoying to folks who have been collecting for years, which I’d assume that most of us have, but this is great for kids and newer fans. The problem is that some of the prices are getting ridiculous for seemingly less each new variant. Let’s hope that we get some fresher sets in this movie-less next three years.

I love the LEGO Star Wars sets. These are all I have right now. I’ve always wanted to get one of the huge ones, but they’re expensive.

I now got my hands on this. That Friday I was over in the store at the City of Leipzig.

    lego_Store.jpg

But to hit the 75,- EUR mark to get that Endor Micro-Set, I had to make a hard decision. Either getting this beauty…

    lego_ISD.jpg

… or just sticking with the Mandalorian/AT-ST Raider for 70,- EUR and add something small like the Death Star cannon / Obi-Wan tractor beam set.

Well, unfortunately I choose the second option. :(
