I'm pumped too. Although I do hope they can give us some confirmation on whether...
    Lama Su
...was actually executed or not. Hopefully the next two episodes clear that up.

    Is there one episode left?

There has to be a second season right? Far too many loose ends/story lines to wrap up in what’s left of this season.

There's two episodes left. I don't think they've officially announced a second season yet, although I would be surprised if it didn't happen.

Yep War Mantle was a memorable one & I had a feeling a clone from Star Wars Rebels would return.

    The new episode was tremendous.
Very sad to see the absence of the Kaminoans, and what's happening to Kamino under the Empire.
The stuff with Crosshair and his former squad in the training room was excellent.
Can't wait to see what the last part of the finale brings.

So impressed with this episode concluded something I thought should have taken place in TFU. So glad the cloning legacy has been concluded.

I can't wait to see how this finishes out. There are a lot of characters that either could get involved or have yet to get involved that would really close out this season 1 arc on a high note.

Would love to see Kanan or Ahsoka in the last episode as the rebellion is starting to form just as the development of stormtroopers are developing and the last remanence of the clone army has been destroyed.

I think this season 1 finale will be used to reconcile the group with Crosshairs before starting a new adventure in season 2. I hoped they would have waited till the final episode to reveal the season 2 just like The Mandalorian did with the Book Of Boba Fett although I thought it was inevitable when Hera & Omega hinted a future reunion.

Really enjoyed the finale. Quite emotional in places too. Although with the cloning project having clearly ended now, I'm immensely curious to see what exactly Nala Se will be working on next. I'm guessing that'll be the main mystery of Season 2.

I honestly forgot Echo was in this show until the final group shot. I hope they manage to do more with him next season.

I noticed a few episodes ago that they seemed to keep his helmet on for most of the show. I guess we've been so conditioned during TCW to see clones with their helmets on as grunts (with a few exceptions) that Echo was almost invisible this season.

The fact he had almost nothing to do compared to everyone else didn't help, either.

Now that the seasons finished I feel like I can give a fair opinion on it. I thought the premier was fantastic and it really sold me on the show (I was "meh" going into it). However, with the exception of a few episodes, most of which didn't even revolve around the "Bad Batch", it ended up being very underwhelming and directionless. I felt like it didn't really have a point and was stretched too thin; or at least that Filoni & crew included way too much episodic filler and not enough "main story" content. Am I alone in this? I haven't looked up reviews or anything since the premier because I wanted to form my own opinion first.

Well, I was prepared for someone to die in the finale, and you'd think I'd be relieved that I wasn't gushing tears, but...I'm a little disappointed, to be honest. My money was on the droid or Crosshair in the usual "must be redeemed and then die sacrificially" style, but guess I'll have to wait for season 2 for that. :p

Srsly though...I'm ready for something a bit different.

The last two episodes were really, really good. Overall I'd give the series 6/10.

    Agreed with being underwhelmed.

If anything, I kinda don't like how by trying to tell a specific story, it kinda had to scale down a potential story. This happened a lot, in my opinion.

For instance, we see the rumblings of a rebellion on Ryloth, where the story is weirdly centered in part on these clones.

But by far the worst offender here is the Kamino stuff. Kamino just felt... small, in this show. Tipoca city itself felt too small, but it then felt like the single cloning center- maybe it's just me, but did anyone else ever assume that more facilities were on the planet? All of the transition from clones to stormtroopers was something I was definitely looking forward to, but... it just felt like so weirdly focused on the small cast. Like, it felt like Crosshair was two or three steps removed from Vader in the Empire's bureaucracy.

Worst of all, maybe, was the squandering of Kamino's fall. I don't want to lean too heavily on Legends, because I often disagree when others do so too, but once again I think Star Wars was in the position to show a truly awesome Stormtrooper or clone rebellion, and... did almost nothing with it. It would've been so much cooler to see many more clones join in the fight against the Empire, but basically we just got the Bad Batch against the entire Empire.

One good thing I'll say about the finale- it kinda reminded me of "Underwater", which was actually a pretty neat movie. For a family animation show, this finale really captured a thalassophobic, megalohydrothalassophobic, and submechanophobic vibes really well. The descent to the deep, the crowded leaking chambers, and even the floating platform on top the ocean at the end were all pretty well done for what they are. Definitely interesting to see Kamino treated like an ocean for once, rather than just a sterile lab. I actually really did appreciate that.

So... eh. It was a fine enough show. I'd say I enjoyed it a lot more than Resistance, but it never reached the heights of Rebels and I think it's clear that it longed to be more of an anthology/vignette series like The Clone Wars.

I'm really confused about whether we're supposed to believe that Crosshair really has had his chip removed. He's exhibiting signs of still having it with his apparent headaches and, of course, completely groundless conviction that the Empire is A-OK... I would have been fine with him being scanned for the chip without his consent but I guess they were too busy trying to survive by getting offworld and whatnot.

I think we're supposed to think he was lied to but thinks it was taken out. Remember, in that one scene early on Tarkin wanted it's effects "enhanced" so they probably told Crosshair they were going to remove it but really strengthened it.
