My fiancee asked me to rewatch the first episode before tomorrow's second episode. I was so proud :D

And yes, I agree. I also always notice new things on a second watch.
For instance, did anyone else see the ewoks and Lando dancing at the campfire on Onderon? (ewok)(lando)
(pwned)You can stop looking for it, it was a joke

Hello friends of the Cantina, i have one question here.

I've never seen any episode of CW. Maybe some excerpts here and there.
Seven seasons to watch is too big for me :) maybe one day when I am retired :D

So my question is : is it needed to have seen CW in order to appreciate the BB ?
Does this show stands by its own, may I safely watch and enjoy it, or, will there be too much things I will miss, because of no background about clones/the clone war/other characters.

    Thank you all. ;)

I've only watched TCW series in its entirety once and that was a couple years ago. I honestly couldn't cite certain events, though I have an overall memory/understanding of the show. That said, if you have a passing knowledge of the events of TCW you'll probably be OK. Maybe watch Season 7 to see how it all wrapped, which leads us into the events of ROTS. In short, I think you'll be alright and if anything it may encourage you to go back and watch TCW. My 2 cents.

Yeah, the show pretty much reintroduces the titular Bad Batch anyway, so I think you'll be fine.

There are definitely things that you'd appreciate more having seen TCW and Rebels, but they're not required viewing.

And TBB is pretty good so far, but... honestly, if you're gonna watch something, why not Rebels or TCW? Bad Batch, being a spinoff of a much more established series, is still a little strange of a place to start, even if it's feasible. There's some really great, peak Star Wars, in the earlier series.

    Anyway...

Today's episode was fine. Nothing too flashy, outside of seeing Stormtrooper conscription for the first time... that was interesting!

I'm glad they got this kind of necessary trope out of the way, though. Omega is in for the long haul now (obviously) so we can go on newer exciting adventures now that the shuffling around of whether or not she'll join them is out of the way.

Hunter is quickly becoming one of my favourite Clones, he's like a mix of Rambo and Solid Snake.

if you're going to watch it, skip the entire first two seasons entirely, except for rookies.

This show just looks amazing in 4K. It's interesting how it's exactly the same art style as Clone Wars, and yet somehow it seems crisper and more detailed.

I loved the new episode for the BB. Personally, i liked ep 2 over ep 1. Especially when we return to that family on Salucamei. I mean, we haven’t seen them since TCW so its cool to see some returning faces. In addition, this episode gave us more of an insight on what the newly founded Empire is doing. Creating a data base of numbers which correspond to people. That is such an Empire thing to do. And for once, we see the beginning and the roots of these new practices. The Empire is beginning to show dominance. And then we have Omega. Excited to see her future.

Idk. I would never skip TCW. All of the episodes either give new insight to the Clone War or to the Jedi. There are some really useless episodes in there, but if you ask me, it is worth the time to watch the whole thing.

I may be missing something, somewhere but doesn't the start of chain codes and all that tie into it's use in The Mandalorian?

I thought the same thing. Never heard of "chain code" until Mando. Now it's like Han's stupid dice that was never a thing and now they can't stop ramming it down out throats.

Lol. Good reference to the dice. I personally like chain codes. Such an Empire thing if that makes sense . But in all seriousness, you are right. Lets have a counter for the amount of time chain codes are mentioned from here on out lol

Yeah, I'm not trying to bag on the chain code thing -- it actually makes sense if you think about it -- but it's something we've NEVER heard a reference to until 5 minutes ago.

I like that we are getting to see how and when it happened! It may be a random new thing in the lore now but it makes sense and I doubt it'll become much of a big deal. It's simply an imperial protocol.

Han's dice was pushed as a thing solo and the ST but I wouldn't say. "Pushed down our throats"

The Clone Wars and other content greatly enhanced the prequel trilogy and now The Bad Batch is enhancing The Mandalorian from a simple thing like Chain Codes to fleshing out Fennec

What up Mando! OK, for clarification, I just thought the dice thing was WAYYYYYYY overplayed. And I honestly get where you're going, RE: TCW~PT/Mando~Chain Codes.

However, the last thing Luke gives Leia in TLJ is Han's dice. I mean, really? I lived through the OT and never even knew those dice existed. Neither did any of my friends who lived it and played it with me. It was something that wasn't, that suddenly was. If I never see those dice again I'll be a happy fella! :)
