Well, have you? If so, which movie, and why?

I'll start. The year...1981....the movie....well....here it is. Suffice to say I am not a Snake Plissken fan....

First film I ever walked out was the recent Aladdin film. I got tired of all the singing and dancing but the lady sitting next to me could not control her baby which at time grabbed my arm which pulled me out of the film... I got up and walked out. I'll probably watch it again at home.

Wow at those two, both great films IMHO! :p:D @Rogues1138 , I get that other audience members can ruin a cinema experience though... I need to post my Solo:ASWS nightmares here sometime, they were almost beyond belief...
@Lock_S_Foils , I guess the irony is you escaped from Escape From New York faster than Snake escaped... if he did in fact escape ;) (no spoilers!).

I have never chosen to walk out of a movie but when I was quite young my Dad took me and my sister to see Disney’s Fantasia, not realising it wasn’t a ‘normal’ movie with a linear story, but a series of short pieces to classical music. They were bored and so we left and I think the cinema let my Dad take us into another film instead (I don’t recall what though).

The funny thing is that now as an adult and big fan of animation I really like Fantasia and am low-key horrified I was made to leave...

But even if I am not enjoying a movie I will persevere. I don’t actively hate many movies and tend to get a good feel for if a film will appeal to my tastes before I see it, so that makes it easier.

i wanted to walk out of Sin City, but didn't.

when i was a teen, we had a neighborhood one-screen theater; went with a friend to see some teen flick (don't even remember which, but i'm sure it was john hughs). when we got there, the advertised movie wasn't playing; instead it was Ernest Goes to Camp. we sat through about three minutes of it and then asked for our money back. XD

I walked out of Blade Runner 2049, not because I didn't like the movie, I love it, but because someone claimed that I was sitting in their seat, (I wasn't and it was assigned seating) and started a big whole ordeal over it. I have a short temper so I ended up walking out and aside from TLJ, haven't gone back to a movie theater since.

Yes. Lincoln. Without a doubt one of the most boring, snoring movies that there possibly ever could be. I was interested in it and then tried to watch it. I was bored to tears. And finally left about 45 minutes in.

I see that allot lately. Once the movie starts people think the person or couple won't show up so they switch seats. One couple actually called the manager, yet the couple was in the wrong theatre. Its not rocket science... read your ticket carefully... before you walk in a dark theater.

Right I've seen stuff like that too, but the crazy thing is... I was there first and I got there super early. This guy walks in just as the movie is starting and causes all this commotion saying that I'm in his seat when I wasn't, I was in the seat that was assigned to me. I would understand it if I got there late and someone had decided to steal my (admittedly great) seat. That's on me for not showing up on time.

The reason for assigned seats is for that very reason, to show up whenever you want to. So it just doesn't make sense. I would've called a manager to sort things out, but I also have a friend with a short temper, so I understand your pain brother, I do. I'd stand by my friend and walk out too, I don't wanna go to jail on some BS, its not worth it.

I’ve never left a movie at the theater, though I have wanted to a handful of times. (The most recent Pacific Rim comes to mind and I was bored out of my mind when I was dragged to see POTC Dead Men Tell No Tales.) Once I’m in the theater, I’m not leaving no matter how bad it is.

I even try to avoid temporarily leaving for things like popcorn refills and restroom breaks, and I’ve only broken that rule once in recent memory. It was when I saw Venom last year. (Again, I was dragged to see it and was not impressed.) :p

I walked out of the Planet of the Apes 2001 remake. I later returned to see it another day. All that Mark Wahlberg kissing monkey was too much. :p

I desperately wanted to for Highlander 2 but negotiated Mystery Science Theater style roasting.

I hated Alien 3 possibly more (if humanly possible) but was too stunned to think about escape.

Pure Luck was so appalling that it broke my will to live much less move.

I don't count things I fake went to as an early teen to bounce to an R.

I walked out of the Hunger Games movie when it first came out. I do love the Hunger Games, but the friends that I went with made us late to the theater and the only seating was in the very front row and I have a really hard time watching movies up there, so I ended up walking out and leaving and going back to another viewing at a later time.

The Empire Strikes Back (SE) is the only film I’ve ever seen in the very front row of a cinema, I don’t know how anyone can deal with that by choice, my neck almost hurts just thinking about it! :D

Batman v Superman. But not for the reason you might think.

First time in a movie theater since having a kid. We got a text from the babysitter that our kid was crying and wouldn't stop so we left partway through.

ironically, the beginning was pretty great. I was like, why all the hate for this movie? But when I finally saw the second half . . . Oof.

What's funny is, BvS isn't inherently bad when you break it into segments.

It's just that none of the segments seem to match up. The ending, on it's own isn't terrible. It just doesn't make sense with the story from the previous 2 hours.

It's very similar to TROS in that regard.

Wonder if they have something in common.....

I walked out Rogue One, The First Twilight film and Pirates of The Caribbean. I just found them pointless and silly. I didn't bother to wait for the ending Captain Marvel. It was during the final battle. I didn't like Brie Larson in the part, got the gist of what was happening and left because I had a bus to catch.
