Everything Palpatine related is effing dodgy.

Not necessarily ruinously but held together with spit, scotch tape, and positive vibes for sure.

Makes sense...im believing that Darth Plagueis was actually either palpatine himself or someone he made up to lure anakin into anakin

Maybe it's just me, but I felt like the "How did Palpatine survive?" thing was answered quickly and sufficiently.

When he says "The dark side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural," quoting ROTS, I took this as shorthand for "I used the powers Plagueis taught me to bring myself back to life." I didn't really need more than that. It's established, not just in canon but in the Saga.

Yeah, Terrio even said this is how the line is meant to be interpreted. He said when discussing Palpatine with Abrams, they thought what if he was able to achieve what Plagueis couldn't.

Was it answered quickly? Yes. Was it answered sufficiently? No, imo.

I feel that is lazy writing, an easy way out if you will. If you're bringing back such a pivotal character that had a pretty clear-cut death, I feel you need to explicitly explain how he survived.

It lessens the stakes for all other characters if anyone can be brought back to life with zero explanation.
