Amen! We might be one hell of a dysfunctional family, perhaps a lot like the Skywalker family, but we are. I'm 49. I'm firmly planted in the OT, but I do enjoy the PT. The EU/Legends has some fantastic stories. I love The Clone Wars, Rebels and Rogue One. I'm not a fan of the ST so far, but I'm still a Star Wars fan. Heck, I have a sleeve of dark side tats and I'm working on a light side sleeve so there ain't no denying my fandom. LMAO

Agreed. After TFA, I was excited to learn more about Rey, Finn and Poe. Then, Jedi happened, and now I don't care about neither of them.

Intead of focusing on them, they have this really annoying tendency of throwing unnecessary characters into the mix (Lor San Tekka, Maz, DJ, Holdo, Rose, BB-H8, Snoke and so on). Most of these roles could be fulfilled by original characters (Leia, Lando, Ackbar, Palpatine to tie everything better and so on) and then, we could spend time with the new cast.

I find it outrageous that we are supposed to care about three people haven't even shared a scene together until the third movie.

I find it even more outrageous that JJ thought a simple scene between Luke, Han and Leia in TFA would steal the spotlight from the new cast but then he gives Poe 3 minutes of screentime in his first movie and RJ separates them "ala Empire" when they haven't even shared a scene.

Not that I don't like the force-skype thing, its quite fun I guess, I just find it lazy.

I thought the connection they built in TFA was great, reading each others minds. But just seeing each other almost in the flesh was just weird and in a film that wasn't that Star Warsy took me out of the film a bit.

Agree with this. Snoke could have just been Plagueis which would have satisfied the narrative.

Maz is good just used poorly in TLJ. Or could have been Lando in his new watering hole

I think lack of Skywalker/solo kids is my biggest disappointment of the Sequels though.

Is the end of the saga... for better or worse I recommend seeing it opening night.

If you’re a participant on this site, you love SW so if I were you I wouldn’t pass up the chance to end the trilogy/saga on opening night.

I’d have regrets if I didn’t see it on opening night.

I’m a TLJ detractor but that won’t keep me from being a part of the ROTS experience!

You are right. I was there when ANH hit the screen with my Grandpa opening day. I was with my 5 year old son for TPM opening day. I will be there for the last theatrical “Skywalker” based Star Wars movie on opening day.

    Thank you.

They couldn't even make this trilogy cohesive. I won't hold much hope that this one will fix that or be cohesive for the entire saga.

The cohesive ending is Return Of The Jedi.
Nevertheless, I am hoping TROS is a fun movie. I just cant treat the sequels as head canon. TFA bored me after 2 viewings and TLJ is garbage. TLJ is the only star wars movie I only saw once.

I've watched Solo 4 times and Rogue One 3 times. I watched TFA Twice. I love Disneys anthology movies but the sequel trilogy has been subpar.
I am excited to see TROS but I just cant think of it as canon
