After a particularly bad day on Tatooine, Ob-Wan will say "I hate sand".

Off the wall fantasy guesses, likely to never happen except the first one:

Grogu makes an appearance or is mentioned.

Young Leia is shown a hologram of her mother, and says she is beautiful but why does she look so sad. I don't know that they'd risk this.

Kenobi is injured in battle, and ends up in bacta tank with face reconstructed as Alec Guinness deep fake. Series ends with him building his spot to settle in the desert.

Young woman with camel in desert asks Ben who he is. Fandom menace erupts, starts riots.

Kitchen scene with Aunt Beru, the hero of Star Wars, who deserves an emoticon.

Will probably fail on all five  Never tell me the odds.

Maybe not so much a prediction, but I'd like for the first 10-15 minutes of following Kenobi's lifestyle and getting acquainted with him to be entirely silent, no spoken dialogue. Embrace that solitude, get us into his own mindset. Very similar to the way Rey's introduction was handled in TFA, which I felt was a stellar choice.

Despite his expertise with a lightsaber, Obi-Wan will find himself struggling against the excellent marksmanship of various stormtroopers, thus cementing his views on their precision skills.

Don't forget that Obi-Wan adopted the code name "Ben" in the Clone Wars on at least one occasion I can think of... When he faked his death and went undercover as that bounty hunter, Rako...

Agreed. The opening of the series really needs to set a good, atmospheric tone.

Not to be too much of a pessimist, but I think one of the worst things they could do is open the show with anyone but Kenobi (for instance, if Kumail's character is indeed a Jedi who fled to Tatooine, I really don't think we should get his story first). Setting the tone of Kenobi's regular life first seems important for this.

Well, your fear came true, and the show started with focusing on another character than Obi-Wan. I think the only reason people are overlooking this opening scene is because they are blinded by nostalgia for Order 66. Let's say this scene took place on a remote planet instead, and Reva witnessing her master getting killed by clonetroopers. Same thing but slightly different.

Eh, they handled it well IMO. There was a short flashback in history then we got the quiet view into OBWs life.

I’m in the camp of that first scene will mean something later. My bet is Reva was the little Padawan that was first show opened on, who was conveniently located in the middle of the class… they were almost trying to suggest she was “central” to what was to come next…

    Here's my wild prediction:

Vader kills Kenobi during the series. I'm making this prediction before Episode 4.

We saw in Episode 3 Vader's will to toy with Kenobi, torture him, causing him as much pain as possible.

In AOTC, Anakin made the promises of someday being the most powerful Jedi ever, and....

    tumblr_d07e17b7c5ae3ba0757aaa2302205287_3541fda9_400.gif

He made that promise with good intentions of course. However, what if he reaches that power and uses it for pure evil?

    Not convinced?

In ROTS, Palpatine literally stated that cheating death was part of his plan.

    main-qimg-241b7025250349f813be583e9801c4e5-lq.jpeg

This paved the way for bringing back the Emperor in TROS of course. It has been part of his agenda all along. However, before mastering a new power on yourself, you would at least test it on other subjects, right? You thought scientists from Big Pharma would test their new medicines on themselves? No, they make on volunteers first. Takes a long time, sometimes years to get a new vaccine.

Back to Star Wars. Palpatine and Vader have had 10 years after they decided to "work together" to "discover the secret". My wild prediction is that Vader would beat Kenobi so bad, either bringing him to the bring of death or killing him. After that, Vader immediately uses the Dark Side of the Force to bring Kenobi back to life, with the intention to keep causing him pain, or perhaps releasing him to keep living with his failure, "returning the favour".

I think there's more chance of Kenobi "killing" Vader and Palpatine "resurrecting" him.

Nice! That'll work with just a little minor reconning in ANH:

Vader to OB: We meet again at last. The circle is now complete. When you left me, I was DEAD as a door nail; but now I am ALIVE, baby!!! Whooo-Hoo!!!!

    :) :) :)

A possible 2nd series notwithstanding, there's a part of ANH that must have been tempting for them to connect with in this "one off" mini series involving Kenobi and Vader.

When Vader says to Tarkin "Escape is not his plan. I must face him, alone." it has always sounded like this is a confrontation that Vader has already seen the outcome of. And that he already anticipates Kenobi's moves which is why he's waiting for him. And why Kenobi has his saber in hand as he gets nearer.

I suspect that Vader will be thwarted by Kenobi again in this series in a way that leads in to Vader later remembering this strategy and also sensing that Kenobi intends to meet his destiny the next time they meet. Which (Season 2 not withstanding) should be on the Death Star.

Perhaps Vader will even foresee himself eventually destroying Obi-Wan on the Death Star and passes up an opportunity to pursue him in this series. Satisfied that if he's seen a vision of him dying then it will come to pass and that he will have been the one to end Kenobi. As it was with Padme.

For the final episode, I'm predicting that Owen and Beru get their hands dirty while defending the homestead.

Nothing too wild. But I think we're gonna see that they are plenty capable of holding their own when the poodoo hits the fan.

Obi-Wan has always been the main focus of this series, despite the opening scene. Even the last episode focused on him realizing that he had left behind that communicator with Bail's message. Why was it okay for some to cheer over two episodes about the Mandalorian being forced into "The Book of Boba Fett"? Or cheer over the endless number of old Star Wars characters that popped up throughout Season Two of "The Mandalorian" in the name of fan service; including Luke Skywalker, who was allowed to save the day?

    Right?

The idea that this show isn't about Kenobi because we got a 45 second flashback in the beginning about another character is... frankly, childish.

Like, is Attack of the Clones a movie about Padme's decoy? Is The Force Awakens frontlined by Lor San Tekka? Does Empire Strikes Back neglect the original cast, in favor of following around that probe droid from the beginning?

    Of course not.

Because movies and TV shows can have scenes that don't include the main character. It's okay, I'm sure most of y'all have learned object permanance by now. If Obi Wan isn't on screen, it doesn't mean he's become one with the force already! Chances are, he'll be back in just a minute or two!

    ___________________

Anyway, I predict Reva and Kenobi will have a showdown on Tatooine near Luke but this will not be the majority of the episode. More of a "Scouring of the Shire" moment, after a larger confrontation with Vader.
