One of the stories has to be how he can achieve the force ghost form. That aso gives us the chance to see Qui Gon again.
The other has to be how he knew that vader is now more machine than man.

it's fascinating that it's going to be set 8 yrs after ROTS.

we have some canon for Kenobi for that period.. in the form of journals that Luke found (Star Wars 7 - from the journals of old Ben Kenobi)*
*somebody check me that these are still canon lol :D

if it's to be based on his journals.. then i think we're in for a treat.

whilst i don't go in for much of that "reading" malarkey that so many here do.. i may have to have a read through them again. There was more than one journal in that series of comics, but i can't remember how many.

IIRC, it was the ROTS epilogue where Kenobi went to a watering hole on the outskirts of the Judland Wastes and while there, a choppy Imperial Broadcast was running on the holo.... with Vader front and center. There was no mistaking who it really was... it shook Obi Wan to his core that Anakin survived. Even the bartender noticed something was seriously amiss.

Also wondering if they gonna show an young Luke, later on the show.
The "mission" of Ben was to watch out Luke on Tatooine.

Yep, and this would be a great setup for an appearance by FG Qui-gon to provide more knowledge and instruction early on in the series.

HERE is a bit of "Canon" information on "Old Ben's" house on Tatooine and it's layout....I know..."Wookieepedia", so only take it at face value.

I don't believe we'll see Obi-Wan straying too far from Tatooine (if at all) unless he takes a short hop off-planet to intercept any imperial Inquisitors or bounty hunters that he's aware of that are coming...in a bid to intercept them BEFORE they get there.

Lets ALSO keep in mind that in ANH, Luke is aware of "Old Ben" because R2 said that he belonged to him, so with THAT being said, there needs to be some kind of interaction between Luke and Obi-Wan (of SOME kind) in order to tie that canon together....even if the interaction happens when Luke is quite younger.

The leak mentioned a 6-8 episode season or mini series. I can't remember which, but the episode length doesn't seem to have a lot of time to leave Tatooine.

Since we know it takes place during the time jump in Solo, I'd love to see some Solo characters appear. Would be a great chance to get more of Val or even Qi'ra.

Also, I would love to see Kenobi face Maul. I know this stretches canon a bit because of Rebels. But seeing Ray Park and Ewan McGregor fight onscreen is cool enough to be worth it, IMO.

You can make it work. As long as Maul thinks Kenobi is dead at the end of this series, it still makes sense for him to be so surprised at Kenobi's survival in Rebels.

    Yoda (the little puppet master)
    Young Luke
    Vader
    Owen (love Joel Edgerton acting)
Jabba The Hutt (the big puppet) and his Palace.
Solo and Chewie (love Alden and Joonas actings)
    The Emperor
Gamorrean guards, Bib Fortuna and Salacious Crumb

And I would love to see the Cantina and the suburbs from Tatooine as we already know. Same set, same streets. Obi Wan knows in ANH is full of scum, pilots and villany.
Would love to see Vader's castle and Sarlacc and the Great Pit of Carkoon.
Would love to see Obi-Wan writing and reading Jedi books and holding Annakin's saber.
Would love to see Lars Moisture farm.
Would love to see Obi-Wan in Alderaan and Dagobah.
Obi-Wan learning how to be a force ghost helped by the voice of Qui-Gon (the beginnig of the series)
Would love to see Obi-Wan in Coruscant for the last time.
Would love to see the Emperor in the dark forging the Empire.
And would love to see competent and serious scripts and an old school production.

    Nothing more.

I would like to know an explanation why the empire couldn’t see Obi-wan and Luke in plain sight.

The galaxy is huge. Furthermore the Empire didn't know about Obi-Wan and Luke. Last but not least, Vader hated Tatooine. So, no explanation needed.

I agree that this is a pretty glaring thing... and "inconsistancy" or whatever you want to call it, that Kenobi hides Luke & himself on Anakin's homeworld, the boy to be raised by his grandmother's fosert children on the farm where she lived for several years, Kenobi chosing the official Jedi uniform as his disguise (good thing nobody were hunting Jedi in the galaxy!), and not bothering to change any of their names (and I here do not count the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" to "Old Ben Kenobi" as any kind of change of name).

That said, however, I think that ship has sailed and they cannot really fix this now. It is something we'll just have to accept as a "the galaxy is really big" kind of thing. This is probably best left alone at this point, to the benefit of moving forward.

At least the word should have been spread to Vader that a man named Kenobi bearing a lightsaber lives on Tatooine.

Yeah, the Star Wars canon needs alot of fixing, especially the ST era, but this is no problem. It's pretty much explained in the new canon. Vader didn't want to visit Tatooine anymore because:
    1) He despised his life as a slave.
    2) His mother died there.
    3) He hates sand.

He was only known as Ben on Tatooine. Also explained in the Kenobi Comic.

Ok.But what about using a lightsaber in public ? surely there were many spies watching out for Jedi.or did he publicly displayed it for the first time at the cantina ?

See I wouldn't. For me the downside of continuously telling new stories in timeline gaps, especially about key characters, is that they can start to erode and undermine what we already know. Because sometimes they can create more problems than they solve and the explanations can be unsatisfying and worse than the not knowing.

Like for me not knowing what a Kessel run actually is is part of the charm. The mystery around what completing it in 12 parsecs means is better than any answer. And don't get me started on the 'rule of two'...!

Besides, the way I see it, nobody in the Empire has reason to believe Luke (or Leia) exists. Anakin believes Padme died, and his unborn child with her (he never got to know she was carrying twins). So why would he go looking?

Which is one reason why I've never been too keen on the idea of more tales of Obi-Wan between the main trilogies - or at least in two minds about it - because it creates this kind of problem. For me the set-up was that he goes to Tatooine, becomes a reclusive hermit and keeps his head low, watching over Luke until the right time comes. Telling more stories and putting him into adventures where he swings his lightsaber around tampers with that.

That would have been my assumption yeah! But who knows? I'm sure they can still tell stories where he never uses or needs his lightsaber. I'm sure it will still be fun to find out.
