I love the first film and I love Eva Green in the sequel.

Side note: Eva Green would've been perfect as Yennefer in Netflix' The Witcher, the girl they cast is beautiful but nothing like Yennefer. Such a shame.

Revisited Rogue One again last night for May the Fourth - it still just nudges TFA out as my favourite of the Disney era films

So, as it's now Revenge of the Fifth, I thought I'd risk watching the Eli Roth directed E.T. sequel*...

I need to watch that. I've been kind of meaning to for a long time but I never remember. This is actually the first time I've seen reference to it outside of my memory of the trailer that was at the beginning of one of my VHS or DVDs back in the 90s. I don't remember what movie it was but it was one I watched a lot because I saw that trailer many times and always thought it looked cool/weird. Or I guess I probably would have said "trippy" back then. I looked for it at the video stores a few times but never saw it and once every 5 years or so that trailer will just pop in my head for no reason and I'll be like oh yeah I need to watch that then forget for 5 more years.

I was similiar and would consider renting it (way back when streaming did not exist) and then netflix had it on so decided was time to check it out.

It's a good noir film and the SPFX are so so not terrible.

    Recommend checking it out.

    Just saw this little gem...
    Raya_&_The_Last_Dragon_Premier_&_Theater_Poster.jpg

A very sweet piece with cute characters and a warm story.

This was one of those stories where I felt I was missing some pieces of the cultural puzzle and didn't entirely understand what all the characters (specifically the magic toddler) was about -- as if there were some cultural/fairy tale significance there that I didn't understand -- but all that just elevated the experience and made it into that much more of a fresh, crazy ride.

Also, oh man is animation coming along! The film looks great!

This is my favourite of the year so far, I love it.
But animation has looked great forever if you watch the right films...! ;) ( I know what you mean though, Raya is visually stunning.)

Fast Five a week or so ago with my family. Mom wanted a watch a movie, but couldn't decide on what. (What she really wanted was In the Heights to come out early) We eventually settled on this movie. We may watch Back To the Future in a few weeks, along with Crazy Rich Asians. Both after Into the Heights of course.

I'm currently watching Furious 6 with the Director's Commentary on. It's been really interesting to watch.
