Luke Skywalker episode 7 cosplay.

Wow!!! I just realized I never posted finale pictures after my cosplay was done!!! It was an amazing night and a blast! Hope you enjoy the pictures all! The costume is also right now in the process of being updated so its more film accurate! Also forgot to mention that the lightsaber was a last second stand in for my saberforge lightsaber. I'll make sure to post updated pics of my progress in making the costume even better!

 

Hey thanks!!! I wear the costume on a regular basis! My lil girl is in love with star wars (at only 3 years old) and she asks me to wear it all the time lol. Yeah i'm certainly going to be updating the status on a regular basis. I based it on that very early leaked photo of luke in costume and it really was hard to get details out of it. With all the new pictures of his costume I can finally make it film accurate!

 

Yeah it is!!!! She knows all the characters too! Hey thanks a lot! Yeah I figured if I simply take the design of his ROTJ outfit and turn it different shades of white and cream and simply make the tunic and tabard ankle length. The only thing I couldn't see was his legs. So I assumed that he did have pants at the very least and some form of boot. So that's all I did but the redesigned the leg portion to match his new hope boots and shin wrap. The under tunic shirt I made is nothing like the actual one but simply made to have the face appearance, which i'm shocked that it work. That's another thing I have to work on... the hard part is there's no pattern on the market that comes close enough for me to modify. Oh well i'll figure something out

Oh! on a unrelated cosplay... I've also started to develop my own rebel cosplay in honor of the upcoming movie rogue one!

 

Yeah I pretty much started her on star wars as an infant!
I love sharing anything star wars related and thank you so much for your kind words! Gathering materials that looked right was the hard part. What I can say is that Joann's fabric has coupon deals for fabric all the time and those helped a lot on the cost of the whole project. As for other cosplay, my luke outfit was my first. The rebel one i'm developing is my second one and it might not be for my use. I 'm still up in the air as to what path i'm taking with it. I'll start a new thread with my concept art after work.
