My question is HOW did he fire the whispering birds. In episode 3 I looked like he had to have his hand in a specific position. Not a position you see in a fight unless you just like hospital visits and cast. It is possible. I just thought their would be more to firing them.

Your not wrong but, not completely right either.
In episodes of Clone Wars they ripped of the limbs of droids all the time.
About the firing of blaster bolts at them. Droidakars would have rounds bounce off when fired at an angle. When up close and fired directly at them it does damage (lightsaber didn’t hurt either).
The operations of the droid arm is a bit much.

I was kinda disappointed that their wasn’t a flash back scene in this episode. I would have liked to see a young Mando working a job with the mercs or more of why he hates droids so much.

The flash back in one of the other episode showed droids killing his village so I don't know if we are going to get much more than that.

Yeah I commented on that in earlier threads. Looked like his village was hit by a separatist attack. After the explosion outside the bunker a Droidakar opened the hatch.

After watching episode 6 twice, I think I'm gonna marathon all six! I got serious Rebels vibes from the droid, love Xi'an (bad Hera), Quin ultimate low life, Mando needs to visit Ryloth.

He’s a big shot gangster, putting together a crew... (Ran) definitely Suicide Squad/Guardians of the Galaxy vibe. Finally a Devaron in action, I read allot about them in the Star Wars Dark Horse comic book series.

X-Wing pilot director cameos make this show really special. Another great episode from director Rick Famuyiwa.

These are episodic shows, containing or consisting of a series of loosely connected parts or events, occurring occasionally and at irregular intervals. These episodes are not large scale films. I keep reading the show is not progressing the narrative: a spoken or written account of connected events; a story. These are episodic TV shows people, 30-40 minutes.

Thanks LFL you made my season onto next WEDNESDAY!!!

To continue with mismatches and plot/script mishaps.( not complaining here, just putting some mismatches in the light )

    18. Did you saw Xi'an taking something from Davan the lonely soldier, it looked like a key or pistol mag. They didn't use it later on. So why did she took it?

    19. Qin took a pistol from Mayfeld, later on they passed through that section with disabled droids, there were at least 7 blasters DH-17 on the ground, but he didn't took any of them, instead he continued with the small pistol. DH-17 is an excellent blaster, both quality and power far exceeding other models. OK, its big and heavy so maybe too bulky for some people, but Burg must be very happy with it. Rebel troopers made a heavy use of it.

    20. Davan was armed with A-180, aka Jyn Erso blaster. It was a very fine blaster and highly valued. No one took it.

    21. Sentry droids were equipped with some sort of heavy blaster rifle or cannon with big perforated barrel, it looks powerful. Is it safe to shoot that inside the ship and what's the sense if they are guarding prisoners?

    22. X-Wings first shot was at something below the hangar where Mando was landing. Upon closer inspection this looks like a smaller hangar or platform or just some opening. I don't get it why they are shooting there and not on the top of the tower where shields are supposed to be or on the gunship that prepares to launch. It makes some explosion so probably that was the intention :D

    23. Sentry droids heavy explosion - no automatic fire extinguishers, no alarm or more droids coming to check what happened. On normal earth ships this will trigger alarm and the crew will rush to put down the fire.

    24. Droids have no sensors on the sides or on the back, they look only ahead and can easily be circled and surprised from the back.

And some editing errors. The tool Mayfeld used to open Qin cell, kind of droid manipulator for the data socket. It is there in some frames and not there in the other. Probably they did a re-shoot and it was there only in some shoots and not there in the others.

Are the sentry droids the same as the big dark green one in ANH right behind the Head Jawa negotiating with Owen? They look familiar, we just never saw the old ones move so I don' t know if they roll or levitate.

I mean... let’s say your buddy get’s nabed for selling a little spice. Blast, it happens. He’s on his way, ironically to Kessel, in a prison transport ship. And because some dumbass trips an alarm, EVERYONE gets shot? And it’s not like the X-wing pilots / directors even checked the signal out.

“So the signal we are tracking is for sure from a ship.”

“Sir, that is no ship, it’s a space station.”

    “SHOOT IT NOW DAMN IT!!!!”

Turns out those “first order” boys might of had a point...

For me the chapters have all been outstanding. This episode may be my favorite and I'd have a lot to say about it, but to keep things brief (relative as brief is to me) there's one thing I wanted to get off my mind. It's about that corridor scene with the sharpshooter, Mayfeld. Let me first say that I'm not saying this interpretation is surely true, probably not even close - but it's sitting om my mind so I'm going to put it out there as an alternate interpretation.

On the face of it, it looks like the Mandalorian is coming down the corridor behind Mayfeld, then Mayfeld turns to face him, but the Mandalorian has again gotten behind him. Simple enough. But while I was watching the scene play out, my mind rejected the realness of what I was seeing because of the way the Mandalorian kept vanishing and reappearing. Why would the director do that? Wouldn't it be just as effective to have the Mandalorian just appear closer with each flash? Why create the surrealness of having him disappear between appearances?

Then, if you watch closely as the camera angle is moving to show behind Mayfeld, you see the Mandalorian is moving toward him. He isn't just standing there behind Mayfeld. So why is he moving toward his back? What is actually going on in this scene? Is the director just saying, "Whatever. Mando vanishes and disappears and moves around like he's teleporting. That's cool." Which, I guess it is but it seems a little over the top, which I haven't felt while watching these chapters before.

So, before going further, there seems to be a pattern in this episode. The way the members of the crew disrespect Mando seems to come back and bite them. For instance, the red guy disrespects Mando at one point by opening his gun cabinet on his ship. Mando closes the doors, and the red guy disrespects him again, going to open another door, so Mando goes to stop him. So how does Mando take this guy out? He closes doors on him. His disrespect is used against him.

The Twi'lek first disrespects Mando by walking up and asking, "Tell me why I shouldn't cut you down where you stand?" and shoves a knife under his chin. And how does he take her out? Shoves a knife under her chin and let's the question, "Tell me why I shouldn't cut you down where you stand?" ask itself. The ringleader disrespects Mando by turning on him and trying to gun him down with a fighter, so how is he taken out? Turned on and gunned down with fighters.

Which brings us back to Mayfeld. At one point, he disrespects Mando by mocking him asking "Is it true, Mando? You paranoid?" and he says "paranoid" in a real mocking way.

Which brings us back to the scene in the corridor when Mayfeld is taken out. The guy is getting visibly paranoid in the corridor. You can see it on his face. The door opens (who opens it?). He jumps and gasps at the mouse droid. He's shook. This is when we see the Mandalorian approaching from behind. Watch it again and it's very surreal. Even, unreal. Like he's a flitting ghost. Just strolling down the corridor - gone then there then gone. He doesn't even appear threatening at all. Why doesn't he just attack the guy when he gets to him? Why come up from behind, only to disappear and come up from behind... again?

So the alternate take on this is that the Mandalorian isn't actually coming down that corridor. The surrealness of the there/not there sequence is intending to show this. Mando is there - but not there. It's a paranoia induced mirage letting us visually feel what Mayfeld is feeling as his paranoia reaches pitch, as it were. "The Mandalorian is coming to get you!" "Look out he's behind you!" and so Mayfeld turns around to face that paranoia, only to find that the Mandalorian isn't really behind him, after all. But now he is!

The Mandalorian opened that door and was around that corner. When Mayfeld freaked out and turned around to face the phantom of his fear, the Mandalorian came around the corner and moved up to actually be behind him. That's why he's moving toward Mayfeld's back as the camera angle reveals him. And so, like the others, his disrespect of Mando came back to bite him. "Is that true, Mayfeld? You paranoid?"

Again, I'm not saying this is surely the intent of the scene, but it's maybe intriguing to consider. It's one of those scenes that makes me wish I could question the director or writer to see what's up.

The prison ship was traveling through space, not just drifting. Logically they would constantly on the move to avoid attempts to destroy or someone or a group of someones trying to rescue a buddy or group of buddies. You nit picked it down to the bone. Great catches. I watched a great episode, and I'll watch it again.
