    With the 49th pick in the 2021 Star Wars Movie draft... The Studio With No Name selects... Sanaa Lathan, actress, New York, New York.

    Probably the hardest position to fill, I've been struggling all week with this. A jack of all trades, Sanaa has done everything from voice work for Family Guy/The Cleveland Show to Tony nominated Broadway performances. An expansive, multiple decade spanning career, I'm confident she can adapt to almost any role given to her.

    With the 50th pick in the 2021 Star Wars Movie draft... The Studio With No Name selects... Christopher Eccleston, actor, Langworthy, Salford.

    I was looking for someone who can fool audiences. As you'll see in the picture below, Christopher Eccleston can look quite menacing, or at the very least not friendly. But it was through The Leftovers, one of my all-time favorite shows where I realized just how incredible of an actor he is. So very capable of playing a warm, kind hearted and good natured character.

    This is a slimy and manipulative character who I need a very convincing performance from. The way I am looking for him to play the role is like his performance in “Operation Finale” with Oscar Isaac.

    The man is a musical genius and I would love to see what he could do scoring an entire Star War. He's not a complete stranger to the galaxy far far away as he co-wrote Jabba Flow with JJ Abrams for TFA, and elsewhere I think he would add a really unique flair to some well-known themes.

    Why?
    When you're looking for someone who has that John Williams style of touch, there's one other name that leaps to the front - Alan Silvestri.
    The man who scored Back to the Future, CHiPs, Dutch, Clan of the Cave Bear, Amazing Stories, Romancing the Stone, Flight of the Navigator, Predator, The Abyss, Forest Gump, Contact, Beowulf, The A-Team (film), Ready Player One, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame...to name just some.

    Chances are if you heard a score and thought it was Williams, but it wasn't, it was Silvestri. And if you grew up in the 80's then most of your cinematic music memory is likely to be toggling back and forth between Williams and Silvestri.
    Unlike Williams, however, Silvestri is able to dabble in the mysterious a bit more as well as the adventurous and boisterous.
    Also unlike Williams, Silvestri is still in circulation at 70 years of age.

    Most importantly, however, Silvestri, like Williams, is able to bring that big and bright orchestral sound to a film's score and give it that boisterous and adventurous flare that excites the soul.
