That is a nice observation. I didn't think of that, but that indeed would be a big plus to her being a Jango Fett clone. I hope that they will go into details of what the aim was of her creation and what her cloning process looked like. If it turns out she ages normally, would that make her a sister of Boba? ;) Talking about Boba, that could be an interesting reunion... (boba fett)

I thought the exact same thing during the first episode, so no shame, but...

accent is definitely a culturally acquired thing and not a hereditary trait, right? Like, she might just have the accent because she grew up on Kamino around the Fett clones, right? (granted, that kinda begs the question why the clones more regular also had Fett's accent rather than a Kaminoan affect).

Absolutely, I think they'd do it to low-key suggest a kin-ship with the clones at the very least, even if she's not Fett DNA... I mean, if she spoke with a Shakespearean English accent.. people would probably assume she's OMEGA PALPATINE!!?!?!|||\\zz! So, I think it's probably a conscious choice, but whether or not it's a red herring, who knows.

I'm generally the slow one here and the fandom is way faster than me so I'm a little surprised that no one in this thread has picked up on the name Omega.

The Last. The End. The Least. The counterpoint to Alpha, together meaning the Beginning and the End. I don't know what it means but I don't think it was chosen by Cowboy Hat Dave at random.

So get to it, Scum and Villainy! What does the name Omega signify for this character?

I don’t know what it implies but it’s interesting to note that at one point Rex was gonna be named Alpha

If that's the case then she's the end. The last clone the Kaminoans made? I'm pretty intrigued by all of this. Should make for an interesting few weeks as the story unfolds.

The last clone made during the Republic era? Seems like the Kaminos are always making clones. Just the levels change. The Empire didn't need loads of expensive clones so what did Kamino do after the war? I'm still curious how Dr. Pershing (who is from Kamino) is involved with Grogu. This series could shed light on what Palpatine does with Kamnio technology after the fall of the Republic.

I like Saw, but I do think he appears too often across various media at this point, I feel it's getting a bit too on-the-nose and convenient even by Star Wars' standards.

Having just watched episode 2, I am quite happy I made this remark yesterday. ;)

I was thinking about this the other day too. I agree, I do not believe Filoni and the others put such a name in there without it having a purpose.

I believe Omega can also mean the extreme. As she probably has enhanced powers like the other BB perhaps she was supposed to become the next generation of enhanced clones. Besides, there is a religious meaning to Omega too. In the Book of Revelation the following is written: ""I am the Alpha and the Omega". In this meaning they represent Christ and God. I had to Google it myself, but this is the book that describes the apocalyps, which seems rather suitable.

I don't think this will be the case, because I believe we still see baby clones in tanks in the background of episode 1. So unless they destroyed those and no clones were made in the period between Omega got out of her cloning tank and when we first see her, that is probably not the case.

By the way, where did you read that Pershing is from Kamino? That is rather interesting, but I could not find it anywhere. And yes, I hope BB gives at least a clue on how it is linked to what we see in the Mandalorian or the sequels.

I like Omega character. At the beginning I was not totally convinced but after watching the first two episodes of The Bad Batch season 1, my opinion has changed. And I noticed from the trailer that she can use a bow as a weapon.

It was spotted early on in Mando season 1 that Pershing is wearing a Kamino patch.

That is some good investigative research by whoever spotted that. :)

Makes me wonder if Tarkin and the Emperor are going to replace the Kaminoans, like Lama Su, Taun We and Nala Se by humans. (emperor) I fear for our tall Kaminoan friends.

Could Omega be an attempt at making clone with medichlorians? She might have an awakening?

Agreed. In the later Republic Commando books, the "newer" clones had faster learning/adaptation or something like that. I'm enjoying Disney using all the ideas that are available to them. The symbol on her forehead that she was wearing I think means something, but I haven't the slightest as to what.

Did I miss something? Lots of people are speculating about Omega being force sensitive, but I don't remember anything in these first two episodes that implies this. Is this pure speculation or is it actually hinted at somehow?

I think the idea is that, Omega is hyper-competent and obviously important to the plot = "she must be Force Sensitive".

...she's probably also related to Rey, somehow...

I doubt she's force sensitive, and I really think that would be a weak story for her if she was. I do think it's pretty clear that she's a Jango clone. Put adolescent Boba's hair on her and they look very similar. I assume that it's much more likely she'll become a female Boba Fett of sorts. I like her. The heightened learning theory is a good one.
