Predictably Bad: Leaks, Speculation, and Projections

With that being said... I always find it super fascinating... the idea of concept story-design. So many concept ideas end up finding their way into future finished products.

I believe speculation is a form of concept development #plagueis=episode9

 

Anything from Mike Zeroh. I watched his stuff for laughs. And recently before the teaser dropped he had this detailed teaser that was coming. Then when things do come out that he doesn't get right he acts like he's the one who got it right. He's never gotten anything correct. He has Zero accuracy

 

The sad thing is he STILL GETS VIEWS. I wish YouTube would do something.

 

At least he's aptly named.. it's right in his name! Zeroh% = Correct!

I stumbled across him back when he first started posting and by the 3rd video I realized he was just making up stuff out of the blue lol. There are a few others like him that continually show up in my feed.

 

I don't see the harm. It's SW, not National Defense lol. He's having fun, I'm assuming those viewing him are having fun. It lets their minds roam. I've maybe watched a couple of his videos, and to me they seem harmless, if a bit of a waste of time (if I was feeling generous lol). It's not my thing, but obviously some people like his crazy ideas and I really don't see harm in letting him keep pouring them out for those who just want more SW content, regardless how inaccurate.

I might feel different if I felt he was trolling, but he's not, he's just making a video on every idea regarding SW he has or he hears. If some people enjoy that content, I say more power to them. I have no intention to be the SW thought police lol.

PS: That was my impression of him anyways. If he does do real trolls, slanders(liable) or something, that might be a bit different story, but it would have to be pretty serious for me to even think about youtube doing anything about him. Let him and his following have fun, SW fans know there's far too little of that in the fandom these days.

Gotta give the kid credit...it talks balls to talk through your ass 4-5 times a day and attach your face to it.

People are so desperate for Star Wars information due to the production secrecy that he's just capitalizing on it.

He's young and wouldn't surprise me if he lives with his folks so he's probably making enough with these videos to get by.

Guess it beats working 9 to 5.

I think it's funny. Not in the way I'd want to watch him, but just that it upsets people. My understanding is that he's speculating about SW. If he gets things wrong then he must be doing it in a way that's entertaining enough to get a following. That in itself is work as far as I'm concerned. Would his talent be better used elsewhere? Sure, something officially sanctioned by LFL would be better, but as it is, he's filling a niche and using his talents to provide a service to fans who are starving for information. Obviously, even the wildest speculation.

As for him not admitting he's wrong, who does nowadays? I think it's obvious to all who watch him that he throws enough out there that the expectation is not that he'll be right more than wrong. It's to entertain with the possibilities. His craft isn't factual, it's in the possibilities. There's a market, he's filling it. I see no harm in that.

 

Daily Express is another one who just regurgitates mainly Mike Zeroh, but others too.

 

I don't understand where this idea comes from that he lies when he simply reports on what other people say. Even when he does that he never presents what he reports as hard facts. Maybe I'm not looking at the right videos but from what I've seen the hate is unwarranted.

 

Mike "The Hero" Zeroh love Star Wars but he also love attention. So he will stop posting videos on Youtube when his content (a mishmash of idle speculation, wild guesses, advanced theories and outright lies) doesnt give him attention anymore. In other words: If you dont like him you should ignore him and everything he does. You certainly shouldnt act like an a''hole and bully him like Rian Johnson did because that will not stop him.

 

Nobody is bullying him and neither did Rian.

 

Of course he didnt. The humble and mature Rian Johnson would never do something like that.

 

Only one who has been attacked and maligned was Johnson. But he's a bully because of a couple of harmless tweets? Talk about lacking perspective. There was nothing mean or over the line in his tweets. They were simply responding to a YouTuber that, let’s face it, has a trash worthy record.

 

Rian Johnson is one of the biggest and most toxic trolls on Twitter. I despise him tbh. But this is off topic.
