So, we have a trailer and a release date (August 31). I have to admit, I'm pretty darn excited for this series. I loved Rogue One, and I was intrigued by some of what they hinted at as far as Cassian. Add in the fact that Tony Gilroy is doing it, and yeah, this one has some great possibilities.

Very exciting time to be a Star Wars fan!!

Both the teaser release and date of the series surprised me... I was not expecting Andor to be releasing so soon!

Same! I really thought it would be say early next year or, at the earliest, this December.

I have to say I was already excited by the idea of this show. I loved Rogue One, and I love the idea of a spy type thriller. Plus, we know Tony G is great at that sort of thing so it seemed to me a match made in heaven. Now I can't wait for late August to arrive.

Yeah that trailer is a piece of good vibes.
Guess it will be a new approach of the SW universe, far from jedi stuff, like Mando did.
Hope Jimmy Smits will at a time be roaming there.

Well I just love to be proven wrong. I thought that this was going to be another derivative shoot em tv show. Looks as if it will be the exact opposite. I Sometimes I love to be proven wrong.

I found the trailer to be quite engaging and I am now excited to do a deeper dive into some of the muck at the height of the Empire and sort of the view from the ground of the birth of the Rebellion.

I think it can be fertile territory for compelling stories now when I had previously sort of made it a bit if a "throwaway" era in my mind I think solely on the inactivity of the Jedi.
