Things dont get cut with reshoots. Do somethings get replaced? Sure, really that is the point of reshoots. It is to remove something that doesnt work and replace it with something that does or to add to it or to "reshoot" the exact same thing because something doesnt work. If something is just plain cut it is because it is the editing process and it is deemed not needed or takes away from the flow, is redundant, etc.

From JJ himself.... “We had more reshoots on Episode VII than this one,” Abrams says. “We had more story adjustments on VII than this one. We didn’t know if these characters would work, if the actors would be able to carry a Star Wars movie. There were a lot of things we didn’t know. On this, we knew who and what worked, and everyone is doing the best work I’ve ever seen anyone do.”

I believe these, "re-shoot/multiple endings/bringing in Lucas to fix it" rumours are all garbage, in the context that they are being portrayed. The film is not a disaster, it was not test screened to the horrors of its audience, but yes... Lucas was consulted early on as JJ has admitted, re-shoots are always a part of film making, and having a couple different ending is always part of the original script writing process. The very vocal, but minority of haters for TLJ so easily get everyone worked up, it's almost laughable. Sad part is, we fall for it every single time! People like Mike Zeroh make money by lying and spreading what are almost always BS rumours and theories. Face it... his track record of accurate information is very poor! Most would do will to ignore him and enjoy the movies for what they are intended to be.... entertainment.

I'm pretty sure a lot of these "leaks" and the Lucas thing.. are misdirection from a certain company to:
    a) Lower expectations drastically, making everyone feel better when certain characters survive (and rate the movie higher than they usually would)
    b) Make the film appear as Lucas approved

Negativity about the franchise has been a way for fringe voices to monetize content for a while. I think that a good deal of people know these outlets, and I would also stress that people look to either official sources for information, traditional print / online media (EW, Empire, THR and some select writers) or fan media like SWNN and MSW that have done some serious legwork to vet their stories. People who produce videos to monetize clicks by reporting about someone else's reporting are simply put, bottom feeders.

Re-shoots and editing tweaks are a part of every major film. It's part of the process to make sure that a story flows well. One example of reshoots that added something that was a game changer? Remember that "And I am Iron Man" moment in 'Avengers - Endgame'? It was not scripted and didn't come up until the movie was in reshoots. Read more about it in this article. That single line added such a powerful emotional note to the scene that I don't know if people could imagine the movie without that line. And in editing the Russo's thought it better to take out the reaction of the Avengers kneeling in response to Tony's death. The reason there was that it diminished the memorial scene at the lake immediately afterward. More is not always better. And in some cases THE RIGHT WORDS at the right time can be crucial to shaping a scene.

I think it's fair to say that the sky is most certainly not falling.

I honestly don't see the big deal about Mike. He does his thing. If one doesn't like it, just ignore him. Every now and then I'll watch the guy as I think he's funny. He's just a fan posting videos about "rumors." Good for him. Post away. He isn't harming anyone. Does he make money off "rumors"? I guess. Honestly not worried about it. Maybe one day I'll start a Darth Wardawg channel and do the same. :D

Ignoring him would be easier if his BS wasn't used by other sources as a "source." So his lying videos would be more harmless if they weren't being picked up elsewhere. A lot of his garbage is used by the angry YouTube mob as well.
99% of the people going to see these films are clueless about the leaks. Disney isn't wasting time trying to fool anyone. It would be a waste of time and money.

As Evelyn Hall said in Friends of Voltaire "I disapprove of what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it" I will always defend these sorts of things, especially when I disagree with them. It's easy to defend those with whom we agree, but really hard to do it when we vehemently disagree. Personally, I'm not into rumors (although lets face it we all get caught up in them). I wouldn't attach my name to 90% of the rumors out there, and certainly not my professional name. But hey if they want to do that, more power to em I guess.

As for being picked up elsewhere, is that his fault or the fault of the fools running with it?

Anyway, I'm doing a spaghetti western marathon since I'm off this week. Just starting "A Fist Full of Dollars." :)

Oh, I don't have any issue with his right to say whatever he wants (as long as he's not violate YouTubes TOS). I can still say he's making money lying to people. It's not a profession I'd be proud of, but Zeroh has to eat I guess.
I did this earlier this year. Enjoy!

Defend their right, not the content. I 100% believe Mike Zeroh should not be stopped, but his garbage should be mocked and ridiculed. Last time this came up, I believe last time, I went out and checked like 3 days in a row he had like a dozen videos per day. All following same format to get correct length to get advertisements and consisted of made up nonsense. So yeah he can feel free to post them, but they are a waste and should be ridiculed.

Ridiculue away man. Nothing wrong with that. But there seems to be an obsession with the guy. I seem him as someone like a "flat earther." He can say it. I don't even know if he is worthy of the time it takes to make fun of him. Personally, more than his fake rumors (I'm sure he gets one right every now and then I mean, if you throw enough crap at the wall something will stick) is his syntax. He drives me nuts with that.

I watched The Great Silence this morning. Wow. Can't see why it wasn't available here in the US until 2000, but that film is... Wow. Can definitely tell QT used it as inspiration for The Hateful Eight.

I agree he has every right to post what he does and I agree he isn’t worth my energy. That is why I don’t take the time to watch his stuff. The only time I even spend my precious time discussing him is when I see people using his info as if it was fact or use his stuff to defend their own arguments given his info tends to be straight bs. I will point it out that his studf is primarily bs

Some history.. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith had reshoots. Ewan McGregor who had an authentic beard while shooting most of the movie had shaved it for another movie, so they gave him a fake beard for the reshoots.

ROTS turned out great and is arguably the best Prequel according to many fans, I myself love AOTC, but I’m in 2.5 percent. :D

Obi-Wan's fake beard that was used in AOTC reshoots looked HORRENDOUS. It was far more egregious than anything in ROTS.

As for the YouTube rumor monger? He should just start going by Supershadow 2.0

Honestly for 2001-2002 technology, it's not that bad. Hair is hard. Here we are almost 20 years later and even the best of VFX artists are still struggling with it.
