Don Williams, brother of John Williams, says John had "135 minutes worth of TROS music to write.

 

Do note that there might be scenes with no music. So at minimum we're talking a 2:25 runtime. To put that number in perspective, the TLJ's runtime is 2:33 (longest SW movie) and TFA was 2:15. Every theme, but a new spin on it? Interesting. So... taking it at face value Anakin and Padme's love theme will be there?

 

Who knows, we are almost at the home stretch.

 

Don Williams: "[My brother] John [Williams]'s started up with another Star Wars. We started on it last week. He has 135 minutes worth of music to write, so that kind of tells you how long the film is. (laugh) It is top to bottom music. We've done four days and we've just scratched the surface. I think we've done something like 34 minutes in the can at this point. But I can tell you that every theme that you've ever heard's gonna be compiled into this last effort. Every one - Leia, Yoda, the Phantom, Darth, all of it's gonna be in there in his usual style. He hides them - you gotta go look for them - you'll find them, but you gotta go look for them. You'll be sitting there watching the film go by and 'oh, there it is' and there's two bars of it and it grabs you and it takes you away." (August 9, 2019)

 

Hasbro to reveal its Star Wars lineup at Fan Expo Canada

 

Yeah, I worked in supply and logistics for a long time, and the action figures and stuff must have left the ports in China in order to get to London, NYC, Chicago, etc to be in the stores by mid-late September and ready to sell. October 4th. I hadn’t thought about it. Thanks for posting!!!


Re: Fan Expo Canada being where Hasbro reveals SW lineup....that’s a bit vague but is very, very exciting. Odd they wouldn’t do it at D23.... I’m sure it won’t be a full breakdown of Triple Force Friday's wares, but it sounds like a feast of info nuggets Anyway, that’s fantastic.

There were rewrites on this movie that pushed the shooting schedule back much farther than on TLJ. They were editing same time as they were shooting which I don’t believe JJ has ever done.

This is all official media reports from earlier this year, not rumors or leaks

 

I was never referring to the shooting schedule. I am simply referring to what they may actually be filming and suggesting that all along they have some key scene or dialogue for a scene they want to be filmed as close as possible to the end. Just a thought of mine, nothing more. No inside information, no rumors, just a thought.

 

I’m sorry. I was just saying this shoot is scheduled way behind all the others, and they are crunched for time, and that’s from what they’ve said to the media.

Absolutely no offense intended. I got your point and think it’s a valid theory.

 

No worries. We dont know the nature of the reshoots. They could scenes requiring minimal post production work. It was at least a month ago that this information came out, so have to believe that scheduling for September when they had all summer long was for a reason.

 

"If you're headed..." well hopefully that means we Internet folk get to see it.

A website claimed that a full IX trailer will be shown at D23. But I don't believe that.

The “Behind the scenes of Walt Disney” is 10am-12pm on Saturday in Anaheim. Any TROS trailer/sizzle reel would be the last thing shown. So that’s right at 3pm Eastern


At 7pm, college football season starts with ONE game that night.

The University of Miami plays University of Florida M. For those who aren’t familiar with American college football, these are two talented, exciting teams from the same state who don’t play each other very often.

It’s like Man U playing Arsenal, if they played in a stadium in the middle of the jungle, and all the fans wear denim shorts.

Everyone who watches college football (and a lot of NFL fans) will be watching that game.

They are playing in Orlando, Florida

On ESPN. The whole country will be watching and halftime should be about 9pm....

All eyes on Orlando, right after showing something that will have been shown only in person in Anaheim 5 hours earlier?

Doesn’t that sound like a perfect Disney cross promotion?

Sports fans in the US will know about the game. The entertainment community and SW fandom will rush to watch that game.
