Finally, here you have the Lovers card in the Tarot deck. Rey and Ben, female, male, joined together by Mercury/Hermes. Mercury and Hermes are associated with the god Nabu. On the left, you see the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which is also the tree on Ahch-to, with the sacred books of knowledge. That's a reference to Adam and Eve. The woman takes from the tree, and tells the man to put some clothes on. Good and Evil = duality. They could even be joined as one person now. That would be wild. Doubt it.

You have to go watch it again, and take a look with new eyes. In the scene, if you look closely, you can see the little rabbit ears when they focus in on the place where that extendable section points.

That would silence a lot of people who think Palpatine won if Rey and Ben, the dyad, were now merged into one body, as the androgyn or hermaphrodite, wouldn't it? They each gave part of themselves to heal each other. Is that why she took the name Skywalker? Think about that. Anakin Skywalker's grandson, and Palpatine's granddaughter merged into one, balance in the force. The alchemical Rebis. That's it, isn't it?

    (death star) triplegoddess.png (luke)
Next time you watch TROS, the three woman at the end, and Luke, are lunar and solar symbols of the entire saga. The rising crescent, or waxing moon is Rey, a long bright future ahead as the young maiden moon. The full moon is Leia, and the sun is Luke Sky walker, risen in full brightness. The waning or last crescent, weary moon is the elder woman on Tatooine. Her camel-like animal may symbolize the long journey, or a pilgrimage. She is the condition of the prequel trilogy, just before the galaxy fell into darkness, when the sun and moon were separated, and Leia needed to be rescued from inside the dark new moon. (death star)

    From Wikipedia:
"A pilgrimage is a journey, often into an unknown or foreign place, where a person goes in search of new or expanded meaning about their self, others, nature, or a higher good, through the experience. It can lead to a personal transformation, after which the pilgrim returns to their daily life."
"Pilgrimages frequently involve a journey or search of moral or spiritual significance. Typically, it is a journey to a shrine or other location of importance to a person's beliefs and faith, although sometimes it can be a metaphorical journey into someone's own beliefs.
Many religions attach spiritual importance to particular places: the place of birth or death of founders or saints, or to the place of their "calling" or spiritual awakening, or of their connection (visual or verbal) with the divine, to locations where miracles were performed or witnessed, or locations where a deity is said to live or be "housed", or any site that is seen to have special spiritual powers..." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilgrimage

The moon is the goddess. She has traveled long and far to get back to the rising light. The spiritual light is reborn from the dark moon (death star) into the individual consciousness. Kylo Ren (the son of the moon, a human) dies, and is born again into the light, in the birth waters, in the presence of mother and father, and his anima, Rey. The more I consider it, the more I feel they may very well be one person, the dyad joined into one. By taking the Skywalker name, the sun, they no longer identify with the solo consciousness, but the light that informs that consciousness. Very Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung.

The actress who played the elder Tatooine woman, Ann Firbank, was also in the final episode of Space:1999, the same year Star Wars came out in theaters, 1977. "The Dorcons," season 2, episode 24. Another moon reference. She played a character called Consul Varda. Trying to find what that word Varda means, I noticed the Persian name for Varda. Get ready.

    Gol.

What's interesting about the connection to Space: 1999, is I read their spaceship looked too much like the original Millennium Falcon model, so the plans were scrapped, and that's how the Falcon got it's shape.

I went and watched the episode, "The Dorcons." If you watch it, ask yourself if there are any parallels with TROS. The attackers in that episode may be seen as the good guys, from another point of view. It's brilliant that it can be seen two different ways. The series revolves around an accident at a moon base that sends the moon flying off into space. This is the people getting trapped with the moon/goddess, eventually with a character called Maya (illusion). The attackers, the Dorcons, are the most powerful force in the universe that can control all forces of nature except death. To live, they need to steal Maya's brain stem, kill her, allowing everyone else at the base to live. The people go overboard trying to save (illusion) Maya, and succeed due to a power struggle in these Dorcon energies male+female. That's where the series ends. They're stuck with it forever. Illusion shapes their perception of base reality. They should have listened to Varga. They keep causing their own problems that keep them trapped on the moon--material world.

The character Varga is on the attacking ship, a female who serves as an intermediary for the male archon. She says, "Resistance is futile." The characters on the attacking ship have a third eye jewel. Had they succeeded, they would have saved the trapped people from the illusion, Maya, who is called a member of the "Psychon" species. Haha. Illusion rules the mind. psyche+archon

They are unable to transcend the illusion to save themselves, and they will fight tooth and nail to save the illusion. Asian philosophy. If they don't let Varga take the Psychon/Maya/illusion and kill her, she says they're bringing death to their people. The character is named Varga, which means a rose, another sacred flower that helps you perceive beyond the boundary into your true, non-dual spiritual nature. Like the lotus, padme, you get a glimpse of the divine, and flower lives are transient like the light of the moon, and us. Identify with the sun as the source of that light that shines on the moon, and you have it. If you destroy the essence of the sacred flower, you're down with Palpatine, sitting on a big dead flower throne, trapped in a mere mechanized base materiality.

Varga was the light of the moon, like Leia. Had the male and female on the ship been able to get it together successfully, the illusion would have been destroyed.

While watching TROS, if you think Ben and Rey have joined as a dyad into one body, the divine hermaphrodite, androgyne or Rebis, what do you think that would mean for future Star Wars? Gray Jedi? Can Rey produce her own child of Ben and Rey now? That keeps the Skywalker bloodline alive. How would they show it in Rey's character? As intersex or non-binary? Would she look into a mirror and see Ben in the mirror?

Can I just say I salute anyone who had the spine to watch TROS more than once? I ended up watching it just for Adam Driver, and left the cinema after his final scene.

Adam Driver is a good actor. But, I didn't have any feelings towards any of the new characters. Could be that's why they're putting so much effort into developing Grogu now. Boba Fett was one of my overall favorite characters, Luke, and Obi-wan Kenobi. They're rubbing that magic all over Grogu. There's something big in the future for him.

That's available to watch free on YT if anyone is interested, if it adds meaning to TROS.
I am thinking of "Dorcons" as literally rule by dicks-- dork archons, the male gods that have taken control of religious experience. Psychons as psyche archons-- the illusion ruling our minds. Varga, the actress who is also at the end of TROS, is the lost light of the moon goddess, sent by the archon to take the illusion Maya away and kill it, a death without death.
So in TROS, elder Tatooine woman is the waning crescent moon, before the moon goes dark. (death star) That makes it funny that she says it's been so long. There's a moon in darkness in Space:1999, too. The dark side of the moon is a toxic dump. Then we get back to Carl Jung. the matriarchial world overthrown by the patriarchy. Shmi and Padme died, and the dark father (darth vader) moved into power, killing the sacred connection to the world. If Rey is not now in one body with Ben, then I think they may go in a dark direction, and maybe even a dark Grogu. If male and female are not in balance, and it's just Rey, what does that mean? Or is Rey a reference to Ra, and the falcon is a symbol for Horus, and they're telling you about the aeon of Horus? What do you think? What are your thoughts where they go from here, and what does TROS mean to you?

They have to weave in the past to keep it Star Wars. With Yoda's species, they could jump hundreds of years into the future after TROS and still have a character with a connection to the prequels tragedy.

Yes, I suspect this is the real reason behind Grogu's creation; the character's longevity.

I saw it twice in the theater, but didn't want to go the second time. I was very excited to see it before it came out. A relative and I have a tradition of going to see Star Wars movies together. She couldn't go opening night, so I went alone. I left the theater hating the movie, which was a first for me with any Star Wars movie. So I went to see it a second time with her. If it weren't for our tradition, I wouldn't have gone the second time. The second viewing only solidified how bad I thought it was.

Exactly how I feel about it. I knew of Ben Solo's fate prior to the release due to leaks, and I was terribly disappointed as he is my favourite character, but still went because I hoped it would be a good film and his death would be moving...but after the first half hour I just knew I wasn't going to like it. As I'd paid a lot of money I stuck it out until Ben bowed out, then left. I later caught the final scene on youtube. Tried watching it again on a friend's dvd but I ended up skipping to all Adam Driver's scenes because I just couldn't stomach it a second time. The worst thing is, I liked Rey and Finn in both TFA and TLJ, but I ending up despising the pair of them in TROS. I never for one moment thought I would see such a badly made SW film. There was absolutely no plot, and the dialogue was so poor it made the acting look bad. The only scene that I found genuinely moving was this one:

I'm sorry, but Adam Driver and his character were wasted.

That was a good scene. I liked Exegol too, except the part where they kiss and he drops dead.
What did you hate about it?

    • Palpatine's unexplained return.
    • Palpatine's unexplained son/daughter, Rey being his granddaughter (I know this was explained in a comic, much later)
    • Snoke ordered Kylo to kill Rey, Palpatine ordered Kylo to kill Rey, Palpatine ordered Kylo to kill Rey a second time, Palpatine never wanted Rey dead, he wanted her on Exegol?
    • Palpatine's insanely huge fleet.
    • The Sith Eternal.
    • The mysterious Snoke who saw the beginning of the Empire and blah blah blah, was just a creation of Palpatine.
    • Rose Tico introduced as a major character in TLJ, Rose Tico says and does almost nothing in TROS.
    • Where is Kylo at the beginning of the movie? Who is he fighting? Why was the wayfinder in some container in the middle of nowhere? (This was later revealed to be the ruins of Vader's castle on Mustafar! OMG, how cool! Not in the movie...)
    • The whole movie moves at .5 past lightspeed. Whole thing takes place in under 16 hours. Rey goes to Pasaana, Kijimi, Kef Bir, Ach-To and Exegol, and does all the things she does on those planets in less than 16 hours.
    • Rey practically begs the Jedi to help her, but they ignore her until she has already fought Palpatine and is almost dead. Then they give her a brief pep talk. Two of them, Mace Windu and Yoda, have first hand experience fighting him. Another three, Anakin, Obi Wan and Luke, have previous experience with him and how he works. None of them offer any practical advice to her.
    • The wreckage of the Death Star 2 exists. It's not on Endor's moon. It's intact enough to walk through. There are functioning TIE fighters in it. This thing EXPLODED in space then crash landed from orbit but still has pristine TIE fighters in it.
    • Luke's X-Wing still flies after sitting in the ocean for years.
    • Instead of doing something cool and new with Luke's broken, blue light saber, they put a band aid on it and it's exactly like it was.
    • The dagger with the silhouette of the Death Star 2 wreckage makes no sense at all.
    • OMG, Chewie died! This is huge! Psyche!
    • OMG! Threepio lost all his memories! Psyche!
    • Was R2-D2 in this trilogy?
    • Princess Leia, the leader of the rebellion and the resistance calls for help, nobody answers. Lando assembles a MASSIVE fleet in under 16 hours.
    • Palpatine, the master of the dark side of the force, the mastermind of the empire, doesn't stop electrocuting himself against Rey's lightsabers, even though it is killing him.
    • Rey goes to Pasaana and miraculously finds Lando there. I know Lando said that Leia called him, but planets are really big.
    • OMG, it's Wedge! OK, bye Wedge.
    • Telepathically contacting Kylo KILLS Leia. We've seen this type of communication before in TESB and it didn't kill anyone.
    • If Kylo Ren has had a change of heart, why not go back to the First Order and put a stop to their plans, as Supreme Leader?
    • Ben Solo, who previously stopped blaster bolts with the force and picked people off the ground and carried them across the room with it, forgot he had the force while fighting the Knights of Ren?
    • Knowing that Palpatine is back, and that Kylo is also super evil and has the force, Hux becomes a spy for the resistance? Just because he doesn't like Kylo?
    • Palpatine can use the force to immobilize Rey and Ben, simultaneously, and toss them around. Still electrocutes himself to death because Rey holds up her lightsabers in an X shape.
    • The resistance just mops up the First Order in a montage at the end. The First Order that had control of the galaxy. A brief montage just accomplished what previously required three movies.

Also, I thought TROS would wrap everything up so the previous movies made sense. Nope...

Maz, are you ever going to tell us how you got Luke's blue saber?
Who were the Knights of Ren?
Where did the First Order even come from?
After destroying Luke's Jedi temple, Klyo left with some of Luke's other students. What happened to them?

There's probably more that I've blocked out.

I didn't care for the Chewie and 3PO stunts either. It also felt like there was a movie missing between TLJ and TROS. The opening scroll hurt my head. The Exegol scenes were good if you think of it as a fantasy or dream to be interpreted.

The dagger with the silhouette is occult ritual-- It's a male phallus (ceremonial dagger/athame) and the female vagina (crater of the death star) and it represents the sexual energies that will join and generate something new. Kylo will die to his lower animal nature, and be reborn to his higher nature, Ben, in the waters of labor, at the womb- the dark moon death star-- in the presence of the spirits of his mother and father. It doesn't make sense any other way than as art representing that. They appear to have made a joke about it by giving the dagger that extension piece, making it look like a popular sex toy, and symbol of women's sexual liberation. These symbols can also be represented by an upwards pointed triangle called the blade, and the downwards pointed triangle called the cup or chalice. When they are brought together in union, you get the hexagram-- hexagram.jpg
what you see in the Star of David or seal of Solomon, or in Thelema the unicursal hexagram, or in the anahata chakra in India-- the heart chakra. The heart chakra is, according to Joseph Campbell, the place of the virgin birth, where you die to your animal qualities and are reborn in life.

You listed some good points. It was a strange movie. But, some bits and parts I liked.

The only way I can make sense of some scenes like the submerged ships that fly perfectly and ships that defy the laws of physics is that it's a dream. Star Wars is an occult allegory that doesn't take place in outer space, but in inner space, in consciousness. It's like the colored scene in the Wizard of Oz that happens when Dorothy is bopped on the head. Joseph Campbell, an inspiration for Star Wars, said a dream is a private myth, and a myth is a public dream. Star Wars is like a collective dream about our lives, that we watch while we are awake.
Very artsy style, like Lucas's THX-1138, which is not about the future at all until the very end. It was an artistic representation of life as GL saw it in the time he lived. The individual climbing up and out into the light at the end is the future.
