Who says they don't? Spreading an image is far easier than a video. Most leaks are images.

The marketing teams are probably in the process of putting together all the videos for December. Once the film is released the promos will include footage that hadn't been shown. Plus, there's additional footage they had to comb through to make the trailer. With Bad Robot being the extra piece in this process there's more likely leaks.

 

In one of the Praxic Leaks it mentions Leia and Luke will be ghosts watching in the distance during the Tatoonie sequence with Rey and Co. Then there is a picture of Kylo floating around where he looks content and could possibly be on Tantoonie. What if the re-shoot was him added into that scene with his uncle and Mother as ghosts while he looks on. Now the leaks say he was thrown down a hole yet Palpatine survived such a fall , Maul got cut and half and fell down a pit so it is possible Kylo survives the fall. Hell they even made a comic recently about him surviving a fall.

These leaks have been massive but i think JJ is letting these leak so it is a massive distraction for an actual decent surprise. They could easily shoot 10-15 mins of extra footage secretly.

 

90% of people who see this movie opening night aren't following these leaks. The idea that the film's producers are spending time and money to trick a very small group of people doesn't really make sense.

 

I guess I am in the other 10%. Bring on the leaks, and sink my Super Star Destroyer! (It’s not meant to be dirty innuendo, I mean a literal star destroyer like in ESB)

 

Is anyone else getting this message with the image? "If you are looking for an image, it was probably deleted." @DailyPlunge, did you delete it? Or... did the Mouse do it? Also, it should've said "this is not the image you're looking for."

 

Which Image is it Palpatine and Rey or Rey fighting side by side with Kylo using his mom's lightsaber at the end of the film. This says spoiler plots and I was told by someone to put these photos here so hope no one here gets their knickers in a bunch.

 

Both of these are leaked images that support recent leaks. The one of Rey and Ben is the two of them with Anakin’s and Leia’s sabers and the one of Rey and Palpatine is when Palpatine shoots Force lightning into the sky and disables the Resistance ships

 

This one. If these where taken on a camera phone, wouldn't we be able to tell? I mean there would be space and a clear sign that there is a screen. There would be a glow coming from the monitor. However, there is not a clear sign that there is a screen. Yet it's all blurry? I was bored and with my camera phone, and I got better image taking a computer screen still then this person did. I'm not saying it's a fake, just an observation.

UPDATE: It was real, but I'm wondering if Ben holding the saber is a fake because it's still up.

 

More details which stack up with what we see in the trailer...

At this time, Kylo establishes a connection with Rey through their bond. According to my contacts, their interaction consists of the following:
Kylo antagonizes her about her parents leaving her and selling her. Tells her she feels all alone and there is nobody who understands her except him.
Their conversation ends with Kylo grabbing the necklace from around Rey’s neck. This necklace proves to be the key to the First Order discovering their location.
Kylo analyzes the necklace on his Star Destroyer and finds out where it’s from."


JEDIPAXIS:

Back on the surface of the planet and having grown tired of a fruitless search for Rey, Kylo initiates another Force bond with her. He discovers that she is on his Star Destroyer and a lightsaber duel breaks out between the two of them across two different locations. I'm probably gonna try to refrain from the spoiler game with two months to go. I can deal with a loose outline, but if they've lost control of images/scenes of the film I'd rather see that in the theater. I thought after all the problems JJ had with leaks for TFA they'd run a tighter ship this go around, but it seems worse for this film.

 

Looks like Ward's whole website is down now...

 

I don't think that has anything to do with leaks.

 

Even though we have seen things from the trailer that corroborate leaked information, anything that comes out now that we have a trailer loses some legitimacy for me because it's impossible to tell if the leaker(s) isn't/aren't just speculating based on/connecting dots around what we've already seen/learned.

 

Its inevitable... we will see the entire film before release, bits and pieces like a puzzle that is. The trailer alone shows all 3 acts of the film, and now with these leaks it just a matter of time. Staying spoiler free take a special sort indeed. No one has patience to keep the lid closed... days of remaining spoiler free have past, withered away... It takes a special sort person to refrain from seeing these images, so God bless you if you can stay busy and not peak! Lol... hehe

We could have had modern Bastilla, Revan AND Simus all in the same trilogy....

Shame. They didn't have Palpatine's head survive the blast so we could have THIS as our favorite undead Emperor.

The necklace looks brownish-yellow though, and those pieces on the floor look red and blue...? Maybe it's just weird lighting?

I didn't hear Kylo say Rey feels all alone. I heard Rey say that no one knows her. That was not the lighting.

 

Maybe not but they are shutting down videos on YouTube that have the leaked image of Kylo and Rey together.

 

No one saw it coming that Snoke was going to get sectioned nor was there a peep about Holdo's Kamikaze move. There will be big surprises for sure.

 

Wait, so Rey Palpatine is pretty certain at this point then? What a completely ridiculous idea to shoehorn in at the last minute. It literally sounds like fan fiction that wasn't very well planned out. (I suppose that is what the ST is though)

There's no way Rey was a Palpatine in TFA. No way that was the plan.

And they are leaning into Reylo and making Ben an equal hero to Rey?

I really think people will just like anything with Star Wars on it. Just put a bunch of space ships in a trailer and people will convince themselves they are hyped for it. It really seems people can't admit, or don't want to admit, that this trilogy has been a mess. Its okay not to be hyped.

Disney is really good at what they do. And "what they do" isn't making great films. Its selling them.
