@Addi Ras Hahaha, I know what you mean, we only put one banana in the smoothie- because we needed something to make it more creamy and thick, not especially because of the taste, although we like the taste, but bananas can be quite dominant!

About that- we made sure to buy a rabbit that was certified by the Animal welfare organization "Compassion in World Farming" (CIWF), which has repeatedly awarded BreFood prizes for its "special commitment to animal welfare". BreFood goal is to provide the rabbits with a species-appropriate life:

I've never made bread myself, to you have a bread-maker?

Thank you : D we're trying our best! My new years resolution is to cut sugar and the carbohydrates and add more greens. But since NinjaRen and I have a long-distance relationsship and we don't see each other that often, we make sure to cook something fun when we're together.

Hahahaha creating the gifs was so much fun btw, the wordplay on Kale Erso was my idea and NinjaRen came up with rest :)

    @RockyRoadHux
No, no breadmaker. Just my fingers and an oven like in every kitchen.
The recipe is from the partner of my mother. My son loves it and therefor I tried it myself :D

Awesome cooking you two @RockyRoadHux and @NinjaRen!

Guess who forgot to take any photographic evidence of the x-mas cooking sessions?

I made a “Sauerbraten” for the first time in years, and it was great. It’s a beef roast, marinated for a week in red wine, vinegar, spices and root vegetables (seller, carrots, onions), that slowly roasted in the oven for 3-4 hours. And the sweet-sour sauce is made with Lebkuchen (Printen!), delicious. If anybody is interested, I can put together the details.

Ohh I haven’t had Sauerbraten in years. It’s certainly not to everyone’s taste but I always enjoyed it probably because it was something different & done for special occasions.

& it wasn’t bad considering I normally prefer the thin base pizza but I wanted to try something different & would definitely get a pizza from this range again.

@NinjaRen & @Addi Ras, I did it in the Rhenish style including raisins in the finished sauce (but switching the usual Pumpernickel bread to Printen). I also used beef instead of the classic horse meat.

But every German league has it’s own style of Sauerbraten, like the Saxons/Thuringians or Franconians or Swabians, all differ in their recipes from those German tribes that settle around the river Rhine.

Damn, I hadn’t had breakfast yet, but I’m already craving for this fine Japanese food!

But at least everything is prepared and ready for a real German classic. I’ve to introduce some guests from Vietnam to the culture of raw, minced pork on a bun with raw onions. Mett heaven.

I still want to try out making them all by ourselves ;D Don't fight it, you know you can't!

@FN-3263827, these are more modern Sushi, right? They look great, even though I'm more fan of classic shushi (simple maki, nigiri etc.).

i like them all, generally, but i prefer traditional sushi to the crazy fancy rolls. i'm willing to try most things, though! : D

ooo ~ i would love to learn how to make sushi.
the only "modern" one on the plate is the far left: it was a rainbow roll with a bunch of extras. the other two rolls were an eel and avocado roll and a basic california roll with masago. on the right is traditional chirashi, which is typically what i order when i go out for sushi. : D

@FN-3263827 we'll keep that thread updated on this! This might sounds gross to some of the sushi lovers, but I've stumbled across a recipe for great Keto Sushi, and since I'm not not a great fan of sushi rice anyway, I'm thinking about using cream cheese and cauliflower instead :D

Here's a little weekend update- @NinjaRen and I watched TFA and TLJ back to back (check out the thread on foreshadowing in The Last Jedi subforum- :)) and that's what we ate between the movies:

Homemade potatoe cakes with cottage cheese and smoked salmon and a greensmoothie (cale, spinach, lychee, and lemon)

We added an onion and lemon juice to the potatoes - I would recommend to only use lemon juice no onions, because with the onion you can't eat the leftovers with apple sauce... :D
