    Thanks! It was partially due to the inspiration from a friend last year. I have yet to make it, but some things on my list go years without me making them.

    I actually did end up making this one. My parents really liked it, but I wasn't as fond of it. Humorously enough, after trying variations of this with chicken, duck, and quail, I'm going back to chicken next time around. I have a whole roast duck I'd rather use for duck recipes, and the fried quail and waffles is as listed above.

    For the strawberry cake, I found a recipe for a shampagne icing that I may try to combine with the strawberry cake's own icing for extra oomph. No major updates on the genmaicha tea powder icing. I need to find a genmaicha that's more...roasted...than the ones I've tried. They're good, but it's a lot like regular matcha to me, and I want something more nutty.

    Most days these days lol! Alas, my crazy cooking days may just be for holidays now.

    I'll have to take your advice! I'll see what I can find, and if I can find a good spot I'll let you know the results.
