The Continuing Story - How Should It Be Told?

I always was a movie guy, so I'll pick movies (probably a new trilogy). But I could make friends with a Disney+ series about Rey trying to bring back Ben.

 

Ideally. If Disney was still in partnership with Netflix I wouldn't mind it being spin off into a 8-10 episode drama , I'd like to see the story taken up 5 years later. They could go into the political structure of the galaxy. Or see the rise of the Sith. TFO was defeated but there are still Sith loyalists out there.

Even if the films weren't that popular, there is still a huge fan following of the characters. I went looking for some Rey art on Google and was surprised the amount of 'Empress Palpatine' and 'Dark Rey' images that are out there that fans have made. So I think that would be an interesting story to take on. Personally I would like the story 15+ years in the future. Where either 1. There is vast political instability with different factions fighting each other. There's the threat of a civil war and one of the factions approaches Rey and offers to place to her on the throne to bring out peace. Or 2. The Sith have risen again under the head of some Sith Loyalist who is the ultimate thug. And Mistress Rey who has started a new Jedi academy/order. Leaves the Jedi and wrests control from this guy and takes over the Sith. She knows she can't change them, but she can control them and temper some of their excesses.

Think of her being a leader like Talia Al Ghul , from Batman, Queen Calanthe from the Witcher tv series , Lady Eboshi from Princess Monoke or any other female leader real or from history or fiction who will get her hands dirty for the greater good.

Making it a made for tv drama with action would be great.

 

I’d like to see a trilogy of the films set in the post-ST future. Far from the Skywalker Saga. New characters.
Not really interested in the further adventures of Rey, Poe, or Finn in theaters.
An Episode 10-12 trilogy would be fun, but I think the Episode Title should be reserved for Skywalker Saga films only. I wouldn’t be surprised if we one day get them though with an older Rey, Poe, and Finn.

personally for now, I’m fine with seeing novels and comics of Rey and company in post ST era.

 

I would say to go with another trilogy, so a X-XII movies. However it depends on the quality. I prefer a good spin off movie than a bad three movies new trilogy. And I would like to see a more mature plot.
No comic thank you, I believ the main plot should be by movie only and book for spin offs or other minor stories.
