I-am convinced The Client hired both Mando and IG-11, because when he says “I understand bounty hunting is a difficult business,” and makes the remark about termination is acceptable, the Scientist protests and says, “that was not part of the deal, you said we would bring it in alive.” Its obvious The Client is humoring the Scientist when he says, “Yes, alive.”

I am really intrigued about how those fobs work!

 

I’m just guessing, but it has to be biological if there isn’t a homing beacon on the person, right?

 

In this episode, I love how the Sandcrawler has all these random little doors the Jawas open to chuck things at the Mando.

This year I want an advent calendar with the side of a Sandcrawler for the background, and there are 25 little doors you can open and find a tiny chocolate Jawa inside.

But how? And if they show you where the person is, why do you need a bounty hunter. Especially for the empire... why did Vader need bounty hunters, if the fob leads you there why not send a bunch of storm troopers to pick up the target or even get it yourself?

Also, if it’s biological, how would you get someone’s biological “data” if you never had your hands on them? The bail jumpers I get because they were in custody at one point... but babyoda?

I think your theory that it’s biological is right, but how?

 

Bounty hunters have a "particular set of skills" that others don't, and also a willingness to go into some pretty bad places. Often a single person can discover things a large group cannot.

Perhaps the fob works with DNA? We leave skin and hair behind everywhere we go. Again, just guessing, but creating a fob is probably a technology not available to everyone. There's also the bounty puck with a pic of the individual to consider.

I have a feeling it's not going to be addressed. I'd rather they focus on the story and let the smaller details continue to be discussed. That's part of the fun to me. I wouldn't want every little thing spelled out. Many of the best stories have a certain amount of ambiguity to them and allow individual inference. Part of the story takes place in your head and you make the story your own. Imagination fuel! I think that's why the stories become so personal to people.

 

I wonder if Babyoda will only be feature in these episodes (end of 1 and all of 2) and the beginning of EP3, or will this Force Sensitive character become Mando’s cutsy side kick?


I think it is likely this character will dissappear by Ep4 so that Mando can tend to his “difficult business” of bounty hunting without his “little green friend,” tagging along. Then again, Babyoda did save Mando from the Wooley Rhinoth and made it possible to get his parts back for his ship.

Will we get Babyoda Sidekick or a break from this scene stealing eonian tell later episodes? Thoughts?

 

It also has to work only when pretty close. Otherwise anyone could be tracked from far distances.

 

I love that with only two episodes, we have so many more questions that will impact the Star Wars universe. That is the heart and soul of Star Wars to me. One little baby could potentially change everything. I think the biggest question is how the baby is related to Yoda. Second would be was Yoda aware of this baby.

I am wondering if the baby will survive and what would the reaction from fans would be if something happened to it.

 

"Baby Yoda" is supposedly fifty-ish years old. So definately and literally not a "baby Yoda", as Yoda himself has been dead for only five years (not fifty) in this Mandolorian timeline.

"Yoda-species-baby" is a more appropriate and accurate nickname.

Although its a cute character, primarily designed to make you go "awwww!!!" and to buy a toy one, I feel its cheapening the mystery of the overall Yoda species by revealing trivial unimpoertant stuff and details which we don't or want to know about.

Less is more.

 

We don't know where this kid came from. The Empire might have had possession at some point and lost it.

Hmm, not quite as catchy.

 

I'm voting for "Yodaling"....I want to see a meme of the Mando in Lederhosen letting it rip with a Sound of Music backdrop.

My take on the bounty is that there are multiple factions who want the Yodaling for their own reasons. And I am convinced that the Mando is going to turn him in and get his containo of Beskar based on promo shots of him in all Beskar armor. See trailer number two for reference.
