I really wonder what the NFL’s options are if this starts to get REALLY out of hand. (I would argue it’s almost there already).

Absolutely no idea I gues they could keep postponing games depending on how many of the Players / Staff become ill although I don’t know how flexible the end of the season is as they don’t have a lot f time between the end of the regular season & the play offs & Super Bowl

There's really no flexibility. It's not that difficult of a thing to do earlier in the season, just reschedule it for later and move the bye week up, but if this continues to happen later in the season after teams have already had their bye weeks, they're gonna have to add a week onto the schedule. I wonder if they'll do something where if the teams playing are either both real bad or if it's one real bad team versus a team that has already locked in their playoff spot, they'll forget about the game entirely but that probably can't happen until the final 1-2 weeks of the season if it were to happen at all. They could cancel the Pro Bowl, I doubt anyone would complain about that. I guess technically there's a lot they can do.

Shame, I hope his recovery goes well. I was looking forward to seeing what he and the rest of the Pats could do against KC.

I'm surprised they didn't build in a couple weeks as a cushion into the end of the season. And if they didn't need them, they could just bump the playoff schedule up accordingly.

I don't think that will fly, based purely on competitive fairness. Whether I'm a 16-0 #1 seed or a 9-7 #7 seed, I don't want to play a team that just had an extra week off and has played less total games than me on the year.

I guess like you said, the only way I can see a game being scrapped entirely is if we're in the last couple weeks of the season and they have both already been eliminated from the playoffs.

I do, however, expect the NFL to attempt to create a "bubble" now, and try the "keep everyone in one hotel" idea. Gonna be rough on the players, but if they wanna continue to play this might be the only way to do it safely.

Damn. @teline owes me some money and I cannot wait to collect. :p

This ain't the prettiest win but it feels good to be 3-1!
I am gonna be seriously surprised if the NFLPA agrees to a bubble. I would love it if they did that but they were very quick to shut down that idea before the season began. It seems most of the cases are concentrated to the Tits camp. NE, KC & ATL all handled their outbreak well (presumably).

And now they just tested their 9th player positive. There is 100% something that's not done right in Tennessee otherwise I think the Vikings would also have lots of positives.

Also a Patriot CB Stephon Gilmore Who was on a separate plane as he was a close contact of Cam Newton but still played against the Chiefs has also tested positive & there is a photo of him having a talk with Mahoms after the game .

I am so fecking done with Rivers and his poodoo. Garbage.

He is WASTING away one of the best defenses we had in recent time. I was never high on him but now I am just done. He is washed. Just put Jacoby back in at least he can manage a game and let our defense do the rest.

Things I didn't expect to see: Titans players unironically playing the victim card for causing an almost season-postponing outbreak of a deadly virus.

You have to be a special brand of ignorant to use the chastisement you got for spreading COVID-19 as bulletin board material.

As a Steelers fan, they should of forfeit the game. Their the ones who broke protocol. We're down 1 game short from everyone because of those idiots.

After getting torn apart by Mahomes and Reid, I am so stoked that Queen's redeemed himself with such a dominant performance. I hope he continues the pace and snags that Defensive Rookie of the Year title.
Oh, I don't know. As a Ravens fan, I think it's perfect just the way it is right now. We host you folks right after our new bye, and considering how fearsome your defensive front is, I'm really not looking forward to them swallowing up our shaky offensive line. I am excited to see how Mapletron matches up against Humphrey and Peters, though. I don't know how Pittsburgh keeps churning out these wide receivers; must be something in that water Iron City Beer.

On a more serious note, I am sorry that Pittsburgh got the short end of the stick. While the record will be the same for every team after Week 17, I agree that your team shouldn't have to be punished for someone else's reckless negligence.

I know. Just most bye weeks is generally after week 5 or 6. We just had ours early than normal which isn't good. We can produce WR but our secondary has been suspect ever since Troy retired.

I'm really jealous that you folks grabbed Minkah Fitzpatrick back when the Dolphins were blowing up their roster. Has he not been good this year?

Nope. He hasn't been doing that well from what i've been hearing. Sadly, they don't air the Steelers game that often where i'm at (Falcons territory) so I haven't been able to actually watch their games to see myself.

    Goddamn it Colts...

Judging by the wording it's not players? I wish they weren't so vague with 'individuals'.

Just saw this on the NFL site let’s hope it either a false positive like the Jets last week or its back room staff so no direct contact with players.
However with the flue season approaching I can see this becoming a weekly occurrence :(
