HUMOR The force will awaken in C3PO

I think this thread should be called "HUMOR". But droids with force abilities would actually be kinda cool. Too bad the force only chooses living beings...

Well, a random kid is still a LIVING being (you might have to rewatch Empire ;D). Every force user was once random btw... Only Anakin wasn't random.

 

You really believe all those Jedi in the prequels had special bloodlines? They were all "random kids." Anakin and Luke unique cases.

 

I hope that in IX C-3PO will get his sweet, sweet revenge for the years of mistreatment he's endured. Kylo won't be the antagonist, but our fellow droid instead.

 

Real talk though, I want R2 and C3PO to have some significant role in the end of this saga. They're the ones who have seen it all, especially R2 whose memory wasn't wiped. They carry the legacy. They can pass on the story. Wasn't there an idea floating around in Lucas's mind that the whole story was told to the Whills by R2?

 

Agreed. I always feel like the droids are terribly underused story telling wise... One of the things I really liked in TLJ was R2 showing Leia's ANH message to Luke. These droids have history and know things the newbies may not be familiar with... They should be let shine a little bit more giving info and stuff.

Although in fairness, R2 had his moment in TFA when he showed the imperial archive map. There seems to be a conscious effort to make them key elements of the story.

I would like 3P0 have a good moment in IX. Something hilarious but heart warming. Also, I just realised that he and Rey haven't interacted yet!

If the force ever awakens in C3PO, it will be because he's possessed by Snoke. The old creep wore gold slippers, so we know he likes gold. Obviously, C3PO would be his first choice when it comes to possession. Then Kylo would have to blow him up. Which I would enjoy because I can't stand him.

 

I have stated many times that C-3PO is a known, confirmed war criminal. Him being a Sith Lord would not surprise.

Well, 3PO did somehow 'detect' fake Luke in TLJ. So, technically, he can at least sense the Force. The first step into a larger world

 

Verdi Ghost should be more appropriate.

If I follow the "force ghost theory" I wrote on the "LUKE'S NOT DEAD (OR, FORCE GHOST THEORY 101)" topic, I guess such ghosts are more "visual/auditive hallucination" than "physical presence".
So it's not a problem that a droid is not sensitive to a human hallucination, but rather detects that this "presence" here in the room doesn't emit that heat a normal living being would emit.

 

Does he really? I don’t remember the scene so I’m not sure, but does C3PO give any indication that he actually “sees” Luke’s reflection? The only thing I remember is his usual surprised face ... did he actually talk?
