It the reason it moved from one of my favorites to my favorite. And by details it also is because of consistent themes across characters. Our main characters are all learning from failure. It is a great middle film which purpose was really to add depth to all the main characters arc.

I'm curious how Luke found so many students to train. Finding force users isn't easy. Plus, I wonder how long he was training them. This will likely be covered in the next film with the Knight of Ren, but it's a nugget RJ left for the next film.

Well quoting Qui-Gon "had he been born in Republic, we would've identified him early." So, he probably just sensed them.

I'm not sure I'm in the right for this topic but people who love Last Jedi seem like the folks to ask.

The Irish, UK and many other iTunes stores did not get the music only version of the film.

Does anyone know why and has anyone contacted Lucasfilm or Disney to ask why? i have tried Disney several times but get no reply. I cannot find any contact details for Lucasfilm.

As to the Last Jedi, I love it. One of my favourites. I think they made a big mistake killing off Luke - Hamill has many years left in him to the play the role. The First Order was also a mistake - rather than copying Vader and the stormtroopers Abrams and Kasdan should have created new villains.

However, things are the way they are and it doesn't stop me loving Star Wars. :)

    Okay, thanks for the information.

I love talking about Star Wars but I think I would lose time on this site - already got carried away in the last few hours - and I want to avoid spoilers/rumours so I have to monitor myself carefully.

    Holy Smokes.

I just the worst (and weirdest) customer service experience on a Disney UK live chat when I contacted them about the iTunes question I had above.

I can't even begin to explain it

If it was up to me, I'd appoint Rian Johnson as the Kevin Feige of SW.

    Bite me.

I think I have posted in this thread more than anyone, but I can't put into words how much I love this film.

It's the deepest, most complex Star Wars film there is. It's filled with action, humor, drama, and tension. There are moments that make you cry, moments that give you chills, and moments that make you smile like a kid in the theater in '77. You empathize with every character, no matter what side they're on. It has classic moments, like Yoda teaching Luke one final lesson, and new, thrilling moments, such as Holdo's sacrifice. It stays true to its source material, yet pushes it in new directions a lot of us could've never imagined.

Between all of that, it makes you question what this story is really all about and in a good way. It challenges every notion one ever had about Star Wars, yet its message stays true to the heart of this whole saga - that good will always prevail against evil, the light will always prevail over the dark. And in doing so, it captures the spirit of Star Wars better than any film since the originals.

In conclusion, The Last Jedi is an extraordinary film.

    Rian Johnson AND Dave Filoni.

    I think it needs both.

Abrams established the number of Knights of Ren in Rey's vision. Johnson only decided on the number of good ones.

As to finding them it - it was probably a combination of encounters with them during adventures, rumours of strange occurrences and the people themselves realising they had gifts and with the Empire gone they had nothing to fear in reaching out to someone.

And it probably took Luke years/decades to find them all.

I do think Johnson made it too many students. A dozen is not too bad a find - I'd have preferred the odds stacked a bit more against Luke.

Hardy har har. But for the sake of giving the disappointed fans a fair shake, I think they actually wanted Luke in TLJ to be like this:

Some of the humour wasn't right in the film. When BB-8 rescues them in the hanger, Finn and Rose do this silly look to one another while standing still in the middle of a battle zone. The "can you put on a cowl" line was completely out of place in the scenes between Rey and Kylo Ren - I think the moment would have worked better with the line at all because Rey's embarrassment said quite a bit on it's own.

Also Rose being in love with Finn just came out of nowhere. I think that before passing out it would have meant more if she had come to change her opinion and respect him.

And DJ should have been an alien. Benico del Toro would have been great in mo-cap or prosthetics. But the "needs more aliens" applies to ALL Star Wars.
