interesting. i'd have redone return of the jedi and not had a 2nd death star. i think the fact that its kind of lazy in the writing is why it's looked down upon compared to anh and esb.

The second death star had the same technical faults as the first one too. Another creative change that I’d do would be to have the emperor’s “death” in ROTJ cooler. I mean it is so iconic how he was thrown down that shaft by Vader. But how cool would it have been if Vader stabbed palps or something. Idk.

Creatively -- and this is a macro-level change -- I would not have allowed JJ to write any of the ST films. He's a great director, but a writer he is not. And for the love of God I wouldn't have allowed him to pull in Chris Terrio, who wrote/co-wrote some of the worst sh*t ever in BvS: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Just pathetic and unforgivable decision making on the part of LFL.

I have been pretty vocal about my overall dislike of the ST, so I probably don’t need to rehash that.

I like the PT, but I have to admit it has a weakness in that Palpatine’s overall scheme is really overcomplicated and somewhat hard to follow (especially before ROTS came out), and yet it all works out perfectly for him. I think this could have been smoothed out a little overall. It’s also kind of odd that it isn’t really clear when exactly you are supposed to realize that Sidious = Palpatine. I suspected it immediately on my first viewing of TPM, but it was debated quite a bit by fans until it was implied much more strongly in AOTC and then stated explicitly in ROTS.

I don’t hate the Ewoks, but they could have been fine-tuned a little bit. You could have a primitive civilization without turning them into, well, teddy bears.

I would also adjust Qui-Gon’s scream in AOTC. This is a really important moment, and frankly most people didn’t understand what happened until it was explained later. The “No” really doesn’t sound like Qui-Gon either. It would be super easy to re-record the scream, and maybe then Liam could say, “Anakin! It’s Qui-Gon! Anakin! No!!”

Put “You’re lucky you don’t taste good” back in TESB. Why, oh why, was this removed!?

And for Pete’s sake, lose the “P. U.-sa.”

I would definitely love to have seen Anakin and Amidala closer in age in TPM. I never got the impression that the Queen of Naboo was only supposed to be 14. She looked at least 18 to me. Having a child actually play Padme would also make Sheev Palpatine’s scheme all the more sinister: he was trying to dupe a kid into voting for him in that senate scene.

With the saber that Luke had just tossed away moments earlier?

So it's agreed. We stay pretty much the same. With the camera pushing in on Vader's face as Luke begs for help. Then we insert shots of Luke's discarded saber beginning to respond to a force pull (like in the build up to Rey v Kylo in TFA), and then cut back to Luke's face, to Vader's face, then to the trembling saber, fast cuts until finally the saber flies up from the spot were it lay and into Vader's hand. Then in a flash he severs both of Palpatine's arms at the elbow (it rhymes) . Luke is reprieved but the force lightning begins to spray out of the Emperor in all directions, like an inexpertly tapped keg of Sith beer. Vader then makes the fateful choice to hoist his Master up, over and down into the shaft..

It would tie the entire saga together. Get it done George. You can even keep the "Noooooooooo" in. If you must.

(I actually don't mind that change. Could have done without it, but doesn't ruin the scene for me except for the knowledge that it was lifted from Rots)

For the rhyme, better go with Vader having his own red saber in his right hand, the green Luke's one that jumps into his left hand, and he crosses them both under the Empreror's throat. You know, like he did once aboard the Invisible Hand... and we hear an off-voice yelling "do it!"

If I was George.... I would have terminated episode 3 very differently, and I would have made a sohrt (15' or 20') "Episode 3.5" (or Episode pi), supposed to be watched after episodes 3, 4, 5. The goal is to preserve the big reveal in 5.

    In regular ep 3 :
last news from Padme we get is that she is left (supposed) dead on Mustafar after Vader's attack on her. No Polis Massa, no children birth, no twins reveal, no Obi-Wan going to Tatooine to meet the Lars, no Bail Organa immigrating a baby on Alderaan. The Vader surgery scene is preserved. No emotionnal "Noooooo!" shouted by Vader, but instead, something to clearly tell us Vader is conceiving a terrible rage just as Sidious says "You killed her".
In fact, we are left with no certainty about Padme (is she dead, or will Obi Wan save her?), no certainty about the baby (we don't know he/she's born, and we even still don't know always two they are).
Instead, regular episode 3 would have featured some scenes of the beginning Jedi Purge. That over-badass Vader scene we got at the end of Rogue One should definitely have concluded my episode 3 : Vader in his prime, announcing his upcoming Glory. :D

    The intended will is to watch 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
    And then, it's time for...

Episode 3.5 : once one learned in 5 that Padme was actually saved and effectively gave birth to "a child" (even if this is highly suspected since ep 4, as Luke's last name is Skywalker), it is time to reveal what happened to her after the Mustafar events.
    - Obi-Wan rescues Padme on Mustafar
    - Birth scene happens on Polis Massa
    - Obi-Wan delivers Luke to the Lars
    - Bail Organa shelters Padme and Leia on Alderaan (Leia kind of knew his mother, as she reminds her in episode 6). It is a good reason to have more Alderaan (cities, landscapes).
    - Eventually Padme dies when Leia is about 5

I'd rather the symbolic weapon of a Sith lord played not part in Vader's defiance. And I prefer the humiliation of Palpatine being unceremoniously chucked off a balcony rather than the quasi-honorable act of beheading.

The problem of TPH it's too distached from the rest of the PT story. It's a prequel from the prequel, which it's a bit werid. The trade blockade it's a prelude of the Separitist war, but I don't think it's necessary to understand the story of ATOC.
One easy fix will be introduce Conte Dooku in the first movie, as antagonist (which will make more sense why Qui Gon Jinn has sent to investigate on Naboo). Because to be honest: the Neimodian were not only slighty racist but are unfrightening villains, they were always too scary from evrything that happen.

Wow, that's pretty similar of what I did it in my fanfiction, I never digest the whole "reconditioning" thing: it"s a easy way out to his choice of defecting the First Order, it would have been much more interesting if Finn (as all stormtroppers) had believed in the ideals of FO, he would have created a more compelling character.

I feel the opposite way. I think that in TFA they" setting up " him way to early. In the first scene Lor Senna tell the audience that he is not the "son" of the Dark Side, (of something like that) which to me ruin his characters arc from the gecko, basically saying to the audience that this black suited villain is not fully "Dark Side" and it's probably will redeem himself before the end of the Trilogy, I'd keep Kylo identity a secret until the scene with Han.
    (obi-wan 4)(kylo ren)(anakin 2)

I'm curious about this because I'm writing one too: Kenoby's Legacy (it doesn't follow the canon but Obi Wan is one of my favorite characters). In which Obi Wan trains Luke, rescues Leia from Vader (who suspects she is his daughter), fights Asajj Ventress (who seeks revenge for Darth Maul's death), helps the queen of Mandalore during a rebellion against the Empire and finally confronts Shared Hett (who then leaves the galaxy to return 30 years later as Dark Krayt)

The second Death Star was way way more easy to destroy.
The first had a tiny exhaust port that only a Jedi using the Force could tackle, the second had a giant opening that even the Millennium Falcon could enter.

ROTS stand for Revenge of the Sith? Until now I used for Episode XI, because for some reason I thought was Rise of the Skywalker, which now I realise it's pretty dumb.

It's way too complicated, and now with ROS (Episode XI) it's kinda of strange that the only true villain of the Star Wars Galaxy is Palpatine, I never liked him as a characters, he's just evil.
because we have 9 films with him behind everything that happens? He's not a master planner, he's beyond believability.
I would get rid of him in the ST and make Dooku the main villain in the PT (until ROTS, Episode III, when he died in the first act of the movie) with Palpatine acting almost like a defender of the Republic against the Separatists, gaining power and consensus during the war.

I genually don't know what are you referring to.
I don't know if they kept it in the italian translation.

    Same as above.

Well ... Natalie Portman was 18 in TPM, but I wouldn't make her a little girl. I'd make Anakin older: I didn't need to see Darth Vader as a kid (Jake Llyod was ten, so if it seems wrong to you that an 18-year-old girl could fall in love with a 10-year-old... you're not the only one)

In AOTC, when Anakin starts slaughtering the Tusken Raiders, the voice of Qui-Gon’s ghost screams, “Anakin! Anakin! Noooo!!” Yoda hears Qui-Gon while meditating and this starts the chain of how the Jedi learn to transcend death (as ghosts). I don’t know what they did in Italian, but this is a key plot point, and I don’t see why it wouldn’t translate.

And if you don’t know about P. U-sa - just consider yourself lucky. :D
