BF2. It seems a very accurate war simulator, as I die in 2 seconds like I would if I was ever in a war.

    Resident Evil - Village

I really enjoyed the previous title, it actually was my most favorite game of 2017. So it was pretty much a no brainer for me to buy VIII.

It feels so good to be back in this universe with a new upgraded experience. Mass Effect 1 still feels like a 2007 game but that doesn't bother much when it's still a wonderful game to me. One of my favorites of all time, although I remember loving Mass Effect 2 and 3 even more. Taking my time and so I probably won't be starting the next game for a while

Dang, I don't even know what that is, but sounds intense.

I finished TW3 this spring, and also read all 7 Witcher books. Was definitely a marathon!

Played the FFVII remake a month ago, and just picked up the PS4 original FFVII version now on sale. I'm not too far in, but I'm curious and excited to delve deeper in this world than the remake allowed, and also to
see what's different in this version's timeline.

Death March is the hardest difficulty the game offers, but not too difficult if you don't rush through the early game and think it through a bit, the game really shines on Death March.

Igni is one of Geralt's magic signs.

Ah, ok. I knew igni was a sign, didn't know if it had been codified to some sort of specific thing in the game.

Good luck! I'm a wimp that played on the easiest difficulty for story. ;)

Dark Deity dropped on Tuesday, and it's been a blast so far.

(I bet I could slap the Fire Emblem logo on this, and those who aren't familiar with the franchise would say it fits right in.)

It was created by those who love Fire Emblem, and that love bleeds through in a very obvious (and flattering!) way. Dark Deity is not plagarism or stealing in my opinion, but almost an offering for all the good times the Fire Emblem franchise has given its creators. The story itself isn't anything new right now, but it's been pretty nice. The world has some depth and lore to it - characters are from cultures and lands that those in-world already know about, so they aren't fully explained (at least not yet). There are some nice twists of tropes as well - usually, when it comes to Fire Emblem, the main characters' homeland is attacked by an evil empire. Here, it's the main characters' homeland doing the attacking. (Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest played with this idea as well.) Things are off, and it's interesting to see how they'll play out.

The gameplay, while heavily inspired by Fire Emblem, isn't exclusively Fire Emblem's. The classes are different, with Base Classes offering each unit an ability that they will carry with them throughout the game, and that changes tactics. There are a LOT more classes too, and the promotion screen gives you information on the growth rates, something FE rarely does. Speaking of promotion, every unit automatically promotes when they hit level 10. I think they'll promote again at 20, but I'm not entirely sure.

The weapon system is similarly unique. Each unit/class has an option of four weapons to choose from at all times. The weapons never degrade, and players can upgrade the weapon "type" after most missions. These upgrades carry over to new classes, even if the weapon type is different. That way, you're not wasting an upgrade token if you change to a class that uses different weapons.

There are voiced lines, but this isn't a 100% voiced game. Think of it more in-line with Awakening and Fates than Echoes or Three Houses. The characters have been really good as well. The Supports - I mean Bonds - have been interesting, but I'm not sure what the end-game with those is. Will have paired endings? Are these flavor text? How many are there?

Overall, I'm having a blast with this game, but I have to limit myself since I do have a practice test on Saturday, and I want to read (and hopefully finish) a book after that...but hopefully this game (and Mass Effect Legendary Edition) will keep me busy until a new Fire Emblem does come out.

mostly playing Mortal Kombat XL for my Playstation 4 the rest of this month. Stil have some characters Arcade Tower endings to do along with replaying Story Mode to stock up on Kombat coins to still unlock stuff in the Krypt areas. I also was playing the heck out of Mortal Kombat 9. I enjoy Freddy Krueger's fatalities and Sub Zero was pretty good in MK9.

Next month cant wait to start playing Mortal Kombat 11

That's right, embrace Mortal Kombat and play them all or at least these last three!

But something else you need to embrace and understand is that Sub-Zero is always more than just pretty good!
