    The Obi in ROTS wins it for me.

    In TPM he was fine, but didn't really have much to do throughout most of the film, so it's hard to judge.

    In AOTC, I found him patronizing, condescending and overall annoying, and he's one of the reasons I don't really enjoy that movie (I understand that he was supposed to be annoying in order to help explain Anakin's frustration, so I don't fault Ewan for this, but nevertheless, when the main character is unlikable, it often detracts from the movie.)

    In ROTS, the character was a lot more sympathetic, caring, and had plenty to do.

    ROTS shows how good of a jedi he is, but I think I like the TPM obi wan. Seeing him and qui qon as master and padawan is so cool. Wish we could see more about their relationship.

    In ROTS, Obi-Wan plays a key role in the whole story, as he kills grievous, helps lead the battle of Upatau, fights Count Dooku, and fights Darth Vader. In The Phantom Menace, he is amazing, but to me, that movie is about the beginning of the character ark of young Annie and Qui-Gon. In a New Hope, Obi-Wan was one of my most favorited characters, but in ROTS, he has just more importance. And in Attack of the Clones, he is also a lovable character as well.

    Yes, what a funny character. I prefer the wise obi-wan from ANH or the great jedi master from ROTS.

    I like them all, but would have very much liked to have seen more of Obi-Wan in TPM - more of that young apprentice learning from his Master, his struggles, mistakes. A little more of the character traits mentioned in the Original Trilogy like impatience and anger (when Obi-Wan talks to Yoda in Empire).
