SPECULATION Your top 5 stories that you want to see in Season 7

    Season 7 is coming. 12 episodes. We don't know whether it will be a short season, or just the first half of a 24-ep season. So much stories left incomplete at the end of Season 6 and so much background history that we would like to know from SW Rebels, or even some Solo affairs.

    What are your top 5 stories you would like to see in The Clone Wars Season 7?

    (Of course, by continuing reading this post, you acknowledge that you have already seen all 6 seasons of TCW and all 4 seasons of Rebels. Duh.)

    Mine are here:

    1) Maul. TCW Season 5 left him defeated in Mandalore. Most likely imprisoned by Palpatine. And in Rebels we see found him in Malachor. However, the events of Solo are before Rebels, and in that movie he was the master of the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn that crime lord Dryden Vos answers to. So, we may see how Maul escapes from Palpatine, and how he rise to power in the Crismon Dawn syndicate. The events of Son of Dathomir may also happen (or not, who knows).

    2) Mandalore. Ahsoka & Bo Katan, Sabine's parents and Mandalorian factions. The first two are given from the trailer.

    3) Young Kanan. We know he met Master Yoda and Master Luminara. His youth would add a nice background story to the already prominent Rebels character. Perhaps we see him befriending young Hera.

    4) Temple guards. We know that at least one of them turns to the dark side and becomes the Grand Inquisitor. We may see Palpatine's early plan to recruit more force-sensitive individuals to assist him in hunting down Jedi Knights in the near future.

    5) Barriss Offee and Asajj Ventress. The first one ended in prison, but with Palpatine's oversight. The second one left us in the same chapter and joined the underworld. Although there already comics out there telling her story, I'm think if she is to appear in Season 7, we may see something different.

    So, what are the stories you're expecting to see in Season 7?

    There is so much running through my mind about the new clone wars series. ive seen alot of good ideas i though of as well. Its good to see cause now Dave Filioni can show what him and GL had going for the PT trilogy. Now we get more deeper and darker story right towards the end of episode 3. I would like to see Ahsoka help Anakin in a few adventures but truly see how deep he was gotten into the darkside around that time. the whole Rex monologue in the begining of the trailer leads me to think that this will be about him as well and how the Jedi acted around them (Anakin/OBI/Ashoka) like to see how he gets out of episode 3 which leads Ahsoka to tell the Rebels cast to find REX and them. I hope the episodes are like 45mins long. I gotta gather myself cause im so excited. Ahsoka is my favorite characters and to see her back and hopefully in more series and possibly the film.

    Given the presence of Ashoka and Bo Katan, the relevance of the Mandalorians in Rebels, and the appearance of a certain person at the end of Solo, I can't help but think that whole situation will form a major arc. I'd be okay with this.

    He met Hera a fair while after order 66 (during the evens of A New Dawn), so unless there's a big time jump in TCW I don't think we'll see this.

    I would love to see an arc about Boba and the bounty hunters. I know we had that clip come out a few years ago so it would be cool to see if that ends up making it into this season.

    Top 5 Stories, in no particular order:

    Maul's Rise (...again)/ rise of Crimson Dawn maybe

    Bounty Hunters conclusion (perhaps also related to the Dawn)

    A Death Star/Kyber Crystal mystery

    Just a regular Clone Wars battle, maybe teasing Anakin's darkness

    Siege of Mandalore/ Maul and Ahsoka/ Rex's escape (including a tense scene between Rex and a Jedi who is trying to kill him)


    Also, I love having things all connect to each other well, but I don't think we need entire episodes for all of them. Here are a few things I'd love to see as Easter Eggs in this season, but not to have entire arcs devoted to:

    Young Caleb Dume in Order 66
    Young Hera and Chopper on Ryloth
    The Grand Inquisitor as a Temple Guard (great idea @Darth Walt!)
    Maybe Galen and Krennic on Coruscant, perhaps some more Yularen too
    Some mention of the Battle of Malachor, or other Old Republic goodies
    Podracing
    Maybe more Saw Gerrara
    Depending on how Alliances goes, Thrawn/ the Chiss
    A planet or two from the Sequel Trilogy
    Hondo working with Azmorigan or Vizhago
    Beckett and Aura Sing working together

    If we are getting 12 Episodes and around 3 episodes per Story Arc, I think we will be getting 3 to 4 Story Arcs.
    1st Story Arc - Ahsoka adventure in Coruscant:1313 level. (3 Episodes)
    2nd Story Arc - "Bad Batch" adventures (3 Episodes)
    3rd Story Arc- Boba Fett and Cad Bane Adventure (2 Episodes)
    4th Story Arc - Siege of Mandalore/aftermath of order 66 on Mandalore with Ahsoka and Rex. (4 Episodes)

    I am really looking forward to the return and the conclusion of the Clone Wars.

    I so want to see this. As this was a defining moment for Kanan.

    At one point, I thought that The Clone Wars would end with the beginning of ROTS, kind of the same way the old Clone Wars 2D animated series did, with the last episode showing us the Separatists forces striking Coruscant and succeeding in kidnapping the Chancellor. This would still hold the premise "The Clone Wars TV show tells the story between Episodes II and III". But does this premise need to be 100% true. Can't they break this premise? If someone can is Filoni.

    After Rebels season 2, Filoni made a comment about the possibility of doing a Rogue One episode in Rebels; this was said after R1 came out. That is to say, telling parallel events that happen during R1 but from the point of view of his characters. That would have been nice to see, and created speculation of course; but at the end it didn't happen, because a better series conclusion was produced, and I'm happy with it.

    In the SW timeline, the "Clone Wars" don't happen exactly BETWEEN episodes II and III. It's true that MOST of it happen between those two episodes, but technically that war started with the Battle of Geonosis (DURING Episode II) and ends when Anakin kills all the remaining Separatists leaders (DURING Episode III). So, it's perfectly possible that the last episodes of The Clone Wars tell us parallel events that happened during ROTS, from the point of view of Ahsoka, Rex, etc. Perhaps fixing some movie plot holes here and there, or answering some pending questions: what happened with the Kamino planet? why the effective Clone Troopers were replaced with clumsy Stormtroopers?

    It would be a risky business. The most challenging thing to do would be how to put together a series finale that is both enjoyable to watch and still honours the story told throughout the series.

    I definitely think we will get some parallel timeline events between the series conclusion and the events of episode III, particularly surrounding the events of Order 66 and Ahsoka, but I don't see them going further than that. For example, having Kamino and the discontinuation of the clones would make more sense to have in the early days of the Empire which is just outside of the scope of The Clone Wars series. Now if they wanted to do a show that shows the rise of the Empire, then that is something I could definitely stand behind. I've enjoyed a lot of the novels that have come out that cover that time period (Catalyst, Tarkin, Thrawn) and think it is definitely an area they can play around with.

    I hope that we will later get a bit more than just 12 episodes... So much great stuff to explain. My top points are:
    1. Maul. What is he now doing?
    2. Siege of Mandalore, I'm pretty positive we will see this.
    3. Something Bounty Hunter related, I really like Embo, so I would like to see him.
    4. Yoda and Luminara on Kashyyyk would be pretty amazing.
    5. The last episodes of The Clone Wars should show the beginning of RotS or even the order 66.
    I think this covers it for me.

    1. More full clone fighting arcs, like the Umbara and Geonosius ones.
