As if your head wasn't already spinning enough, Entertainment Weekly dropped some information about the main players of Disney+'s The Mandalorian. Details remain ambiguous at best, but at least we have some names (and titles) about the cast of characters we'll be awaiting on our television screens this November.

The first character who caught my eye was Moff Gideon, played by the brilliant Giancarlo Esposito. This is the fist glimpse we've had of Gideon and up until now it was rumored Esposito could be playing a motion-capture character. I'm very happy that's not the case. From Entertainment Weekly:

We know how desperate Imperials are to hold on to their power after the defeat at Endor, so I'm intrigued to see what a full-force Moff will do. We've only seen military personnel struggle to hold their forces in check as news of the death of the Emperor and Empire spreads, so it should be interesting (and terrifying) to see what Moff Gideon does to hold his region together and under the fist of the Empire. Esposito is most well known for his portrayal of drug lord Gus Fring on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. If those performances are the barometer, Star Wars fans are in for a real treat. It really doesn't get much better than a villain portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito.

Carl Weathers will play Greef Carga, leader of the Bounty Hunter's Guild. Yes, you read that right. There's a guild of bounty hunters, so it makes me wonder if Weathers will play a mentor role to the anonymous protagonist or if he'll constantly be trying to reign him in (or both). We have to imagine amidst the chaos of the Empire's death throws some of the more underground elements of the galaxy must rise up to keep an order – whether that's criminal or not. If I had to guess, Carga will be something of a parental figure to the bounty hunter.

We still know NOTHING about 'The Bounty Hunter' portrayed by Pedro Pascal. Sure, we can gleam a lot from the glimpses we've had. He's fearless, deadly, and ruthless – but there is something more to his story, as Entertainment Weekly hints in his character biography. He has a name but we just don't know it. That's about all we get. I think the bounty hunter will remain a mystery until the very end of the first season – so prepare yourselves for endless speculation.

Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano, seems to sit apart from the more sinister or Imperialistic nature of the previous characters. She fought with the Rebellion, but we do know not everyone in the Rebel Alliance adhered to perfectly 'moral' standards. By the time we meet her in The Mandalorian she's gone full mercenary, which makes me wonder about her methods. Still, the feminine energy will definitely be an equalizer for things immoral and I have little doubt Dune will serve as a compass for the bounty hunter. Just a guess, but I hope I'm right.

Last, but certainly not least, is IG-11. Voiced by Taika Waititi, this bounty hunting droid gets pegged as IG-88, but will clearly make a name for himself in this series. Judging by those few seconds of blaster fire, I think he's going to make a fine addition to the droid family in Star Wars.

The Mandalorian will be taking us to places we haven't seen yet in Star Wars, so let's get excited we have some compelling characters to share the ride with. No lightsabers, no problem! The series debuts exclusively on Disney+, November 12th.
