Though why it's "dishonorable" is a MYSTERY - for now.

Anyway, the question is, are there any other instances of the whole "dark side / Palpatine clouding Jedi's perception" than the following three:

Palpatine: "Master Yoda, do you really think it will come to war?"
Yoda: "The dark side clouds everything - impossible to see, the future is."

Yoda: "Blind we are, if the creation of this clone army we could not see."
Mace: "I think it is time we informed the senate that our ability to use the force is diminshed."
Yoda: "Only the Dark Lord of the Sith knows of our weakness - if informed the Senate is, multiply our adversaries will."

Dooku: "What if I told you that the Republic was now under the control of a Dark Lord of the Sith?"
Obi-Wan: "No, that's not possible! The Jedi would be aware of it."
Dooku: "The dark side of the Force has clouded their vision, my friend. Hundreds of senators are now under the influence of a Sith Lord called Darth Sidious."

"Clouded this boy's future is." Perhaps related to the above, perhaps not.

I don't think that Palpatine had clouded the Jedi's thinking. After all, he is not the "Dark Side of the Force". I believe the Jedi's own flaws - as individuals and as a religious order - had clouded their minds. Hence, "the Dark Side".

You also got to remember that the Jedi Temple was built on a Sith Shrine, and while they did not spend all their time at the Temple they spent the majority. I am sure that this didn't help with them being clouded. It might be why they don't talk about being clouded in the OT because they are not longer in the Temple...and like there is 3 Jedi left.

“Not victory , Obi- Wan. The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen. Begun, this Clone War has."

Yea I was thinking about that one, I wasn't counting it because it wasn't about "the evil" clouding anything - more along the lines of "always in motion the future is" from the OT.

But yea, I mean why not - these quotes are quite scarce throughout the movies anyway, I guess this can be expanded to "mentions of anything being clouded / obscured from psychic vision". Makes sense, really.

Well, you've got an interesting alternate interpretation there... in the movies, the dark side always refers to evil; in "the force", the person, evil wizards etc., never to simply lacking perception or "flaws".

    I was talking in a movie-only sense.

A thread starter is, of course, more like a deist god than a theist one, so you can still post about EU or personal alternate interpretations here of course - but my question wasn't about either of those, just fyi.

I was just wondering whether I'd forgotten any of those lines / pieces of exposition, and couldn't find any upon searching, so I thought I'd ask here.

Thanks, yea, was thinking about that one too - always took that as more of a metaphor / poetic way of saying "the dark plan has been revealed", since it was referring to the war.

Could've also meant, of course, that the psychic barrier has fallen and Yoda just realized that the war had been the evil plan all along - not quite clear from the writing.

Do people really believe that outside forces were mainly responsible for the Jedi to be "clouded by the Dark Side"?

Why should the "Dark Side of the Force" only refer to evil? Why can't negative traits or even personal flaws be included?

Well for the same reason "good side of the force" doesn't refer to Ayla Secura being a monster in bed - because it wasn't in the movies ;)
