    So what kind of cantina musical presence would you like to see in The Force Awakens?

    In Star Wars the Cantina band were some cool cats, like the cosmic equivalent of Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

    But music changes over time. What kind of musical style would be popular in the Cantina's these days?

    I could see Daft Punk manning the decks in the Cantina on Jakku

    hmm.. that's hard to say. maybe the gorilaz? lol. to be honest I think they would go with something similar to what they had in the past....the figrin dan band with a new song.

    I'd have thought their career would have progressed somewhat by The Force Awakens. The should be the galactic equivalent of the Rolling Stones, starting off in grotty cantinas and now playing stadiums and arenas while laying waste to Twilek supermodels.

    Well, if the OT was supposed to reflect WW2 then the music was reflected by that in its jazz influence. So, if the ST is supposed to feel like the cold war, then maybe current music will reflect that as well? Protest folk and psychedelic rock?
