RUMOR A new KotOR?

    While I was scanning a website of CD-Action, the most popular gaming magazine in Poland, I've stumbled upon this article (sorry, it's in Polish,) which describes plans of BioWare for the nearest future. It provides us with some details on their new IP that is to be released in late 2018 but more importantly for us, Star Wars fans, it states that BioWare Austin, which develops The Old Republic MMO, is currently prototyping a new Knights of the Old Republic game. Not much more is known about the game or whether it continues the BioWare TOR-verse or ties into the main Canon. Still, the premise of a new Star Wars RPG is enough to make me (and probably many more) excited.

    I wouldn't mind a reboot/remake with a new story for the new canon. Which is what I'm expecting and hoping.

    Sadly, according to this article, there used to be a prototype, but the project wasn't greenlit an in the end, BioWare Austin is focused on working on the new IP.

    I really don't want them to change the story of the first two KOTORs keep them in the old EU. I would love a game set in The Old Republic that is an RPG like Skyrim with a non linear story. I'm really a big fan of doing quests at my leisure.

    I started playing kotor and yes its been a long time...i just couldnt believe how old the game is especially the graphics and gameplay compared to SWTOR.

    It kinda took me out of the game to be honest. I say keep the storylines intack but for goodness sakes upgrade the graphics and gameplay lols. :p

    I would love a KOTOR reboot! I just hope Bioware and EA take their time on it. I heard visceral games is making a open world star wars game too!
