SPECULATION A new Star Wars open world/RPG game

Whether or not we'll get an open world RPG in future depends on how strict Lucasfilm wants to be with canon. A nonlinear story-driven game obviously can't be part of it. Personally, I have nothing against a "Legends game" but it should feel as if it could belong in canon. A Prequel era game in which you make your own Jedi would be cool. An underworld game set in the OT is another great possibility - you could make your own bounty hunter and do contracts and stuff not interfering with the main storyline from films.

 

Whell, as far as SW games go I can only say smeh and blergh, discounting maybe KOTRs and Battlefront II (the original on ps2).
But with Disney at the helm I have little hope, besides quality assurance, gameplay I can't see being interesting.
But it's a new world, anything is possible

 

I never played Galaxy but from what I read and saw it kinda reminds me of the O.A.S.I.S from Ready Player One. The way you could build stuff on planets. At least that’s what I read.
