    I just want to thank this community for its intriguing, thoughtful, exciting, funny and imaginative posts and discussions. There is a certain even tempered tone to most discussions, and people are willing to entertain old or absurd arguements with full cohesive thoughts, keeping things friendly and entertaining, and attacking the posters is kept to a minimum.

    I just left a conversation on Facebook where everyone was so aggressive toward each other, calling each other names, and an intelligent conversation quickly deteriorated into negative nonsense. I don't care if people are insulting to me, it just doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the abhorrent listening skills people have these days, their gullibility, or their inability to part take in the spirit of debate. These forums seem to keep their composure better than the general internet.

    I am 6'3, 270 lbs, and mostly muscle. I am not easily intimidated. But I do not go around flexing my muscles, trying to intimidate others, either. I believe everyone should get a say, and these forums seem to allow that most of the time. Thank you, Cantina!

    I agree 100%! I have a lot of different interests and have been a part of many different online communities over the years, but this one is one of the most civil and friendly that I can remember, even when we disagree. Online communities can be brutal!

    Actually the most vicious treatment I ever received was from an internet forum devoted to gardening and exterior decorating. Those people were animals...

    Agreed good sir! I love the tone and overall friendliness of this community. I think we owe the mods around here a debt of gratitude for keeping things positive and clamping down on the overly negative posters.

    In most cases (when we miss it) all it takes from you folks is to hit the "Report" button and we'll come running!!

    Actually, we'd like to thank YOU folks for being civil...that's all it takes. Now as we know, there have been "those few" that just don't get it, and despite warnings, will proceed with seeming impunity....and they're headed for the chopping block by doing so. We hate to ban people from here, and will make every effort to take those folks aside and have that PM with them and actually try to work it out...sometimes it works, sometimes not.

    I have a philosophy that productivity and success is born from the ability of people to accept the ideas of others, agree or not, but be able to be civil and accepting to the fact that a singular idea is not the only idea in the world.

    That being said, we're all SW fans, and THIS is the best forum that I've personally ever witnessed, and the happiness of the members speaks for itself.....pat YOURSELVES on the back for that....you did it. The Staff (when not posting their OWN ideas) are just here to mediate when the masses ask for it! :)

    Not ever being a part of any kind of forum and not knowing what to expect from the Cantina, I didn't hesitate when it opened last year. Just being a part of the site I could almost tell what kind of people were here. Most of everybody has been cordial and some not but I don't run in to those people of the latter that much, if at all. So keep up the "out there" speculations. That's what it's all about. We need the stress relief.

    I used to think SW fans are just a bunch of prequel bashers, as I remember,under many SW videos(primarly prequel-dedicated videos) I saw short,stupid,non thoughtful,comments("Prequels suck","Hayden Christensen is sh*t,I could for a long time).It really made me angry that there's so much non-constructive criticism(like bashing the prequels was a trend,rather than a decision).After just a few days being here,in the Cantina,it felt like the best place to talk.A place where we real SW fans,the young and the old,can unite and await for our goal:TFA :D #MTFBW,always
