A thread about spoilers WITHOUT ANY SPOILERS.

I realize the thread title might sound like a complete contradiction. But I thought other people here might want to discuss the general phenomenon of spoilers related to Star Wars: TFA without actually being exposed to the specific spoilers that are floating around.

For example, I've been avoiding spoilers for months now. I prefer to go into the theater and be completely surprised. Yet, I find it fascinating that this movie seems to have an unprecedented amount of alleged leaks, with multiple sources claiming to know the entire plot of the movie a year before it is released. Obviously the level of anticipation and thirst for information is ground-breaking for this film.

My gut feeling is that most of the supposed spoilers are intentional red herrings planted by the studio, or fabricated nonsense from people who are trying to get attention. But I'm sure some of them have at least a kernel of accuracy. It does seem suspect to me that sources could claim to know the entire plot without even knowing the names of characters.

Again, without actually spoiling anything, what does everyone think about this phenomenon? To those who have read every spoiler: please feel free to weigh in without mentioning any specifics. Did the 88 second teaser really validate any rumors, or confirm any single source as completely reliable? Is Disney running a massive campaign of disinformation, or has a ton of stuff actually leaked?
