SPECULATION A tribute to Carrie in Episode VIII ?

I imagine that she'd hate that sort of thing and also hate to put a downer on what should be a fun ride.
I say let the film be a tribute to her in its own right.

 

If it were up to me, I would just put something early in the credits that reads
"In Loving Memory
Carrie Fisher
Kenny Baker
Erik Bauersfeld"
It could be prominent without actually being so major that it feels like it is becoming part of the movie or detracting from the movie.

 

After the end of the end credits.

 

Yeah end credits ''For Carrie''

 

I could see them doing it early in the end credits, right before the names of the main cast members are put onscreen.

 

I also go for end credits.

 

Have the finale music kick in and the usual flash card credits.

Then, where we'd typically have a medley of the main themes, play Leia's theme intertwined with Han and Leia and Luke and Leia throughout the durations of the credits. Once the credits are complete, and the screen is black, flash the words "In loving memory of our Princess, Carrie Fisher".

I'd then either end it there, or have Carrie Fisher's face artistically recreated with an amalgamation of stars.

 

Something really simple at the end credits would suffice.

Simple and moving.

 

even better if it comes before Lucasfilm Ltd. i'd like to see a dedication before the film for once.

 

Maybe an after credits scene would be better than at the beginning

At the end of the movie let the music fade into Leia's theme and then show something like:

For Carrie
You will always be royalty to us!



In loving memory of

Kenny Baker
and
Erik Bauersfeld

Then cue the usual end credits and music...

 

Thanks I thought so, I hope they also reveals photos of one of her last days on set.

 

I was thinking about that. But it may be too jarring a reminder right before the film, drawing people out of the story before it even begins. The first shot of Leia is going to be sobering enough anyway.

 

eh. i feel like people are going to be thinking about it anyway.
possibly better to jar them before we see her than pull them out of the story when it might be a critical plot moment.
and what if, as the middle part of the trilogy this episode is sobering enough without a sad reminder at the end that not only does the galaxy suck at the moment, but the real world does too ~ hahaha.

though to be honest, i think johnson might surprise us with TLJ. maybe it won't be a dark ending. just to mess with our heads.

Screen goes dark.
No music just the words "In Loving Memory of Carrie Fisher & Kenny Baker. Now one with the Force."

Could be. However, At the beginning of the Movie (pre-movie commercials, Lucasfilm-logo) how many times does it happen people are still coming into the theatre?

No, I think it's better it comes right at the end of the movie, so everyone sees it!

What about Erik Bauersfeld? (who voiced the famous: "It's a Trap!"
