    Hello everyone,
I've touched on this in other threads but I figure I could start a thread on the topic of Adam Driver's character alone. Here we go.

    SPOILERS SPOILERS

Adam Driver is 100% the villain of Episode 7, and he is a badass. Not going to say how I know, but I do. Friend of a friend type stuff, and chances are you don't believe me anyways.

Drivers character is neither a Sith nor Inquisitor. Think of him as a Sith-wannabe. The heir of an aristocratic Imperial supporting family, Driver has always felt the power of the Force, but the dark side took hold of him at a young age. Driver used his fortune and political clout to travel the galaxy most his life in search of Sith artifacts. None of this is seen in Episode 7, but I hear there is a great scene of dialogue when he explains to Ridley and Boyega who he really is. We know he is a badass with a red lightsaber very early on in the film, but he never refers to himself as Darth-anything.

Drivers character began receiving visions, ala Sauron-esque voices, around the time Luke Skywalker vanished. Driver believes these visions and commands to be from a dark power even stronger than the Sith. He regards this power as God-like. It is commanding him to find Skywalkers apprentice, who ends up being Daisey Ridley, but Driver doesn't know who it is. Up until the start of Episode 7 he has been traveling the Galaxy, stealthily murdering any Force sensitive person he can find of a certain age, mid-20s. One of the first scenes of Ep7 is Boyega narrowly escaping Driver, as Driver used his Imperial influence to board the star destroyer Boyega is stationed on, and try to kill him by ordering a transfer to Drivers ship. Boyega doesn't know about any of Drivers dark side/force obsessions. He just knows Driver is a bad dude and the Empire sucks and he is done, so he jumps ship.

Driver spends the film using all his resources to hunt down Boyega, and is pretty much right on his, Ridley, Isaac, Han Solo, Chewie, and Han/Leia's son's asses from halfway through the movie on.

Once the real villain pops up toward the end, you start to realize Driver is more of a religious fanatic(his religion being the dark side) and is being used by this malevolent, Dark Side entity.

Don't know if Driver will be in all three films, but my guess is he doesn't make it past Ep7. Again, think of him as more of a misguided, religious fanatic who is skilled with the Force but is being completely used by the real bad guy. Driver is powerful with the Dark Side of the force, but as my boy Obi-Wan says "he cannot control it".

    That's all I got

Awesome scoop if true. I will hold out my reservations of the validity but its still cool ideas none the less.

Also this makes sense that he would raid Vader's funeral pyre for his armor. Lot to ponder on.

Wonder who the 'real villain' is, and who will be acting the part.
If he doesn't make it past ep.7... wasn't that one of the big problems with Darth Maul? The fact that they built up such a cool villain only to kill him off at the end of the first movie?

Very Nice! I feel this movie will be a transition from the original cast to the new one.

Real villain is best kept secret, but is voiced by Max Von Sydow. I'm guessing it is some sort of half human something or other. Again, think Sauron, so a physical embodiment equivalent. Not trying to imply they are ripping off LOTR, just taking a page from it

LOL speaking of LOTR... I'm calling it now: Voiced by Max Von Sydow, motion captured by Andy Serkis. Though that would be a waste of Serkis' fine talent. Cesar in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was a brilliantly crafted character.

I hear this new villian is black clad with a very scary looking helmet. He creates a necklace that can control anyone that can use the force. The main goal of the new trilogy is destroy this necklace. The only place they can do this is on Mount Terrible on the planet of Mustafar. Where this new villain is sure to keep is EYE on them. Orlando Bloom is set to cameo.

You're right - I don't believe you . No offense meant, but I don't think anyone on this forum has any inside info on the production of Episode VII. There's no shame in speculating.

Why/how Driver is playing a Solo and his role:

    1. Since we are getting the sense that Luke is gone for a long time... I'm assuming he hasn't trained many Jedi. IMO Driver grows up thinking Uncle Luke will train him as a Jedi, but his family goes against it because he has all the signs that lead to suffering and Luke doesn't want to chance him turning into another Darth Vader.

    2. Feeling betrayed (please see my Episode VII themes thread) by his family, Driver bails and disappears. He becomes obsessed with becoming a Jedi and something takes him down the "quick and easy path"...the man behind the curtain. Over the years his hatred fuels his power.

    3. Driver leads the "Jedi Hunters" that are obsessed with Vader. The hunters worship him because he's from their Idols bloodline. Who else better to lead them? With the man behind the curtain training him/telling him what to do...Driver becomes more powerful than his Uncle in his mind.

    4. Driver captures Luke, but he can't sense that he's his nephew. This could go on until the end VII or revealed in a later film.

I don't blame you for not believing me. I don't even know if I believe my source, that's why I'm posting it here rather than sending it to Latino Review or starwars7news. I could be totally wrong and kind of hope I am. If this person/persons is correct, than I know a lot and am kind of having the regrets a kid has when they unwrap all their Xmas presents early.

You can use the SPOILER prefix from the drop-down menu when creating a thread.

BTW I like your rumor but it just sounds too detailed to be real. :)

I was under the impression that Adam Driver will be the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa. I guess he can be a bad guy regardless of that, though.

I agree with Viral way too detailed to be real, but if so im assuming your friend/friends are now sitting in the unemployment line. either way, based on the fact that Ridley is the only cast member confirmed to continue on to other episodes at this time, it easy to speculate that Driver is expendable. however I don't see them making the same mistake twice as DarthDaniel said
