so i think it's commonly overlooked that Ahsoka almost joined maul. if maul gave her an answer she liked, she would have tried to kill Palpatine with maul. would the crime empire be successful? would Ahsoka follow through the whole plan with maul? could Ahsoka and maul have defeated palpatine? overall lots of questions, and i would love to hear some opinions.

Definitely defeating Vader. I think the two together could have beaten Vader right after and possibly right before Mustafar aka Suit-less Vader and Anakin-Vader. As for whether or not they could defeat the Emperor is another question. I think they may have been able to, but Maul failed once before and I don't think Ahsoka ever faced anyone like Palpatine. If they freed Mandalore together and then used their combined forces, they would probably have had a 2% better chance. Ultimately, I think the two would have needed to team up with Kenobi or Yoda to have even stood a chance. But what a sight that would have been! Kenobi standing side-by-side with his archnemesis and his apprentice's apprentice in order to stop the man behind it all...that's a What-If story I'd love to see.

And then the three try to form a new government where there are three Force Representatives: Maul for the Dark (he's in charge of civilian matters, as no one would trust him in charge of the military or underground matters), Obi-Wan for the Light (he's in charge of military and judicial conflicts, as he is The Negotiator), and Ahsoka for all other matters (I read this as her being in charge of the underground as well as being the tie-breaker and interceding where the Jedi cannot and Sith should not). Sure, Maul would (repeatedly) attempt to have coups in the government, but at least with him it'd be the enemy you know rather than the enemy you can't see.

I think that i would be fair to say that Ahsoka and Maul would both not be enough to destroy the emperor, vader, or the whole empire at that. I think a lot of people forget to realize how powerful palps and Vader are. They are incredibly powerful. I think that mual is a little sloppy when it comes to fighting. I think he is too driven by certain things instead of being purely powerful if that makes sense. And to speak of ahsoka, she did learn everything from Anakin, so she could stand a chance, but I don’t think she could beat vader even with maul at her side. Lastly, I think Ahsoka would eventually be driven back to the light and leave Maul and not join him because of how purely good she is. So, I would have selected none of the above if it were an option. I love this thread! Very intriguing question for the poll!

wow! that would be cool! although i think obi-won would not team up with maul if he had a choice. Ventress i feel would be more likely to team up. honestly the ultimate dream team for creating a crime empire that would defeat the empire would be: Ahsoka, maul, obi-won, and Ventress. those four are such opposites, but when they need to, they can work together, just like how obi-won and Ventress teamed up against maul and savage.

i agree, they probably couldn't defeat Palpatine, but when Ahsoka dueled Vader in rebels, she did very well and held her ground. I also agree that maul is sloppy, and when he fights he is driven by emotion and ambition. Ahsoka is very pure, even in the Mortis trilogy, the father took Anakin, the daughter took Ahsoka, and the son took obi-won. I'm not saying that obi-wan is like the son, but the spots do line up, and obi-won could have (and should have) been more accepting about Anakin and Padme, and tried to support, not ruin them.

realizing how much that comes out as hating on obi-won... i think obi-won is great, but just not what Anakin needed. Anakin needed someone more like qui-gon to raise him, not 25-year-old obi-won, who just finished his training, and has only been an adult in the order since he met Anakin (adults in the order are knights and higher). obi-won is great, but again, not what anakin needed.

The only thing about Obiwan with Anakin and Padmé is a devotion to the religion kind of thing. It’s against the religious of the jedi to have relationships like those of Anakin and Padmé. So, I think Obi-Wan was more devoted to the jedi than Anakin may have been. But, then again, Obi-Wan could relate to Anakin with what he had been through with Satine. Thats why I speculate Obi knew all along but hushed up. Anyway, you and I seem to agree on a lot of things

this is why i really would like a book on obi-won and Satine's relationship before the phantom menace. because if i know how deep Satine and obi-wons relationship is, i feel like that would help me judge obi-won. because yes, he is very patient, but he could have tried to talk to Anakin about it. rex knew, but never said anything except covering it up. Ahsoka knew but never told Anakin she knew until she left. (i take the 'i know' as I'm fully aware you would leave the order for Padme). but its not Ahsoka and rex's place to talk to Anakin and mentor him about Padme. it was obi-wons place. if obi-wan was making out with Satine when he was Anakin's age, you would expect him to be a little more, well I don't know. obi won was quiet, and you can't forget that, but he needed to step in. let's be real, the chance of Anakin lightly backing down is none, but if obi-wan talked to Padme about it and had Padme withdraw and he pulled Anakin the other way, then Padme might not have gotten pregnant, and who knows what would have happened? if I had to guess the timeline order, I would say Padme got pregnant a bit after Ahsoka left.. an interesting way of coping... so if Ahsoka stayed would Anakin not have made out with Padme to cope? if korkie is obi-wons kid, I would hope that obi-won would be a little more open to Padme being pregnant. you know what, I take back what I said earlier about Obi-Wan being like the son, he was between a rock and a hard place, and decided to not do either and sit between the two just like qui gon sitting between the laser beams in episode 1.
if obi-wan teamed up with Ahsoka, they could defeat Vader. I have no questions about it. with maul there, maul might try to pull a stupid stunt, and they might not succeed.

Thanks! Yeah, Ventress, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Maul would make a very interesting squad of rulers! Although, where you are in the timeline, Ventress isn't available for the team-up sadly. She's got her hands full elsewhere. I think if it was between Maul and Palpatine though, Obi-Wan would rather team up with Maul than let Palpatine rule. Neither would trust each other, but I think their constant battles would make them be eerily compatible when battling together (when they finally agree not to kill each other during the fight - the three-way fight would make them liabilities at first).

Excellent post! And I 100% agree. If there was anyone to tell Anakin about the dangers of a relationship, it should be his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi. But, we can all agree, everything played out nicely with Luke and Lea and all that jazz.
