Ah here. Right I'm not thrilled that this story was chosen to be a movie, but anyone who has taken the time to sign up to this forum, posts and checks in regularly and says that they aren't going to see this movie when it comes out is full of bantha dung. Of course you're gonna go, you might be pleasantly surprised or you might hate it but you'll be there with bells on.

Thanks for the trolling. Of course I checked on this thread originally since we are talking about Mr. Han Freaking Solo here. And yes, I do have a right not to feel utterly excited about a particular casting, hey I am a human, not a bloody droid. That is why I said "I MIGHT END UP PASSING" I might, but I don't know yet. What I meant is that I might not go there the day it is released, I might end up watching it but not with the utmost rush and speediness as I did with TFA or as I intend to do with Rogue One or Episode VIII. I guess trolls are full of bantha dung too.

I stood like 20 meters away from him at the closing ceremony and I must say, he does kind of look like Han. He has this Han Solo vibe, I think they made a good choice with him. So many people wanted that Ingruber guy. Don't get me wrong, I saw his impression on youtue and he looks like Harrison Ford and can imitate him but that doesn't mean he is a good actor (or good enough to play Han). I am sure Disney gave him a go and decided against casting him.

A Solo trilogy sounds awesome for Star Wars; can't wait to see what new non-Rebels vs. Empire avenues this opens up! Solo is the perfect tool for broadening the setting while keeping it anchored in the familiar, and none of us here have any reason to conclude that this, or indeed a Solo film in the first Place, has to be a bad thing. And besides, IF this film or even a Solo trilogy turns out to blast, we can always ignore it like we do the Holiday Special and Ewok extravaganzas. Stop being so bloody pessemistic, pleoploids! There's enough missery in the world that no one need go around inventinge fake new missery before the fact. Star Wars is fantastic! Be happy there's going to be more of it.

My suggestion to people who rant and rave about how awful Solo is going to be: Don't see it. If you have decided you're not going to like this film(s) then don't bother with it. Find something better to do with your time than hating on a film that haven't even been made yet that you have already decided to loathe. Don't waste your time on a film you're convinced will suck. If we can live with the Star Wars Holiday Special existing in our fandom then we can surely also live with a Solo film, good or bad. Not interested? Well, then ignore that stuff. Hell, ignore the prequels if you don't like it - I ignore a vast majority of Clone Wars myself; that was not my cup of tea.

So, pleoploids, let go of your hatred and don't feed your inner troll.
