For my money, she looks better now than in her Scully days. Have some Media while you wait:

The upcoming fourth episode is the weakest of the bunch and really just kind of backtracks on a lot you could figure out with very little new....

Hopefully it gets back on track for episode 5.

Agreed, the first half of the episode was booooring, it picked up in the second half with Mr. Ibis and Mr. Jackal and her scene with her friend was amusing. It was the weakest episode in the bunch, especially for a book reader.

I felt like almost all of it could have been told in other episodes and almost all of it was pretty much self explanatory.

We knew about the affair from ep 1.
We knew she died with Shadow's best friend's dong in her mouth.
We knew she wasn't in her grave after last week.

And that's like 2/3 of the episode.
The stuff with her and Shadow meeting was fairly dull. As was all the aforementioned stuff. Pick up with her and Ibis/Jackal. Then bring in another plot for the other half of the episode.

    I would start with her...
    slaughtering Technical Boy's drones

...because non-book readers don't know who did it. None of the actors were bad, but the majority of the episode was needless. And I missed McShane like crazy. Shadow simply goes with Mr. Wednesday.

    Agreed entirely.
Open with that and then go into the other stuff that is *NEW* and not retreading plot points from episode 1 and 2.

This would have been much better as episode 7 or 8 in a longer season. Where you have time to distance from it. But right away it's just boring sadly.

So Media kicked Technical Boy's butt which was immensely enjoyable:

    Good bounce back episode.
Still wasting too much time on Dead Wife tho. We get it. She's dead.

O.K. This show just went to some dark, dark places.

The entire Vulcan scene, which isn't in a book, was so, so disturbing. The Nazi imagery was off the charts. And when you realize that those people
killed the immigrants and their Jesus at the beginning of the episode
    and hear the line
"every time they kill someone in the theater"
    , it was bone chilling.

I adore Laura/Sweeney/Salim dynamic and contrast of Salim's light to their doom and gloom. Sweeney was hilarious as$hole in this episode.

As someone who loves, loves, loves the novel, I am so happy with the show - hitting the things they have to hit and improving the things that need improving to make it relevant. The actors are all hitting it out of the park. I'm so sad that there is only two episodes left.

I've been re-watching parts of previous episodes and now I see how they were dropping hints, especially for book readers, about who Wednesday is to Shadow.

In the first episode on the plane he says to Shadow:
What? I offer you the worm from my beak and you look at me like I f*cked your mom?

One more episode to go, I am already missing the show. I love that a journalist asked Pablo Schreiber (Sweeney) how is it to be a part of WTF television, lol.

I loved the last episode, a real spotlight on Mad Sweeney:

I'm playing catch up after a couple of weeks out of the country for work, meaning I couldn't stream from my Prime account (damned region locks!)...

Caught up to Lemon Scented You and I still can't quite articulate how brilliant the screen adaptation of the book has been so far.

The visuals are a work of art with the show looking like nothing else on TV, supported by superb casting which continues to impress. Anderson's Media in Bowie form in Ep 5 is a work of genius (for any size screen, not just TV). The fact that the scriptwriters even managed to work Bowie lyrics and titles into the dialogue, giving Media the line accusing Technical Boy of "putting out fires with gasoline" (Cat People is a favourite DB track of mine) was sublime.

Seriously running out of superlatives here...

All up to date... and S1 finale now watched too - damn they have an impressive visual effects team!

All I can say is, at least S2 is coming later this year and not 2018

Where did you get that? The production didn't even start on Season 2, everyone is saying April, 2018.

Read it on another page... they've been called out on it by others though and have admitted their error saying it will be 2018 :(
