Genuinely peeved that on top of Fuller’s exit (see above) reports are now filtering through that Gillian Anderson (Media) and Kristin Chonenweth (Easter) are also bailing from American Gods now with season one having barely covered the first quarter of the novel!

Why do so many shows I like never make it to a successful second series when there’s clearly more of the story to tell?!?!! :(

I'm currently re-reading the book for the first time in years with the intention of watching the show after. About 1/3 of the way done and remembering why I love Gaiman so much.

I'm also listening to this podcast seminar by a guy I like as I go through it.

He also has podcasts for Star Wars, Tolkien, and Harry Potter if you're interested, aside from older stuff he did with his ex on a different site. Highly recommend.

I really wish they filmed A Study In Emerald: that's my favourite Gaiman work.

@LadyMusashi - are you still watching AG? I didn't tune back in for s2 in the end, but noticed s3 is now on Prime. Is it worth me giving it another go?

Season 2 is worth a watch. Season 3 however is currently adapting the dullest part of the book, and I’m honestly struggling to bother watching it week to week.

I dropped after the first season when Brian Fuller left so I can't help.
