An honest request: Somebody leak something

It's very difficult to post things without concrete evidence or some kind of proof as far as leaks go. Honestly, I know a few people in the hollywood business due to my many years being affliliated with the comic book convention and a volunteer. However, even if and when I get some information from the people that may be in the know it may not always be true. So, in the end you have to pick and choose. I myself have heard some stuff but in no way am I going to post stuff without concrete or some kind of evidence that eludes to it being real.

Now Rumor's on the other hand are galore.

In fact I heard a rumor that the film doesn't open with a pan down from space. However, that is only a rumor.

Eh, I'd be rather we get no more leaks from now until the release of the film. It's so close.

 

Actually lots of leak can be view throughout the Internet. Let's be patient, it's only 42 days to go!!!!

 

I don't believe it. The whole Rey opening the panel with the stars stuff sounds like misdirection. I believe there is a pan down to either a Star Destroyer or a Lightsaber.

 

Is there anything really left to leak. We know everything we need to know at this point. Any more and the whole film will be utterly spoiled. Do you have anything in particular in mind @odmichael ?

 

These are probably better classified as "rumors" than leaks, from a message board with 20 or so bits of info, all others of which have turned out to be more or less true, and I've never noticed them discussed elsewhere, but they may have been so apologies if these are old news (paraphrasing these):

1. Finn is a clone, and a far more humorous/klutzy character than the previews imply
2. Kylo Ren is not the only villain with a "light saber-ish" weapon.
3. There are no "romantic subplots" involving the new characters

If only I knew what a leek looked like, i would've found this funny before reading the other comments lol.

 

I'd be pretty upset if it didn't pan down from space. ALL of the other movies do this! It's a part of the Star Wars tradition, in my opinion. Obviously this doesn't ruin the movie, but it spoils the mood..

 

I don't think it would spoil the mood. What if it's better? This move takes place 30 years after the OT and is being released 16 years after TPM. Might be good to distinguish itself from the others.

 

I will admit that since I haven't seen it yet I can't say for sure whether or not I'd like it. I'm open to giving it a shot, of course, but I just find it difficult to part with a core tradition of the SW experience. I feel like the music, opening crawl, and space setting are all important components. But, like I mentioned in a previous thread, I'm totally open to trying new things, considering the quality of the PT.

 

I love leeks. This onion is the best.
I would love it if they leaked Rey's parentage and confirmed Finn's force ability so those threads could move on.

 

Those threads would never move on. Think of the Jakuu=tatooine thread.

If JJ came out tomorrow and said Rey is a solo, at least some would still say "you can't trust him, he lied about kahn". And if we see Finn levitate an object some would say it was only because Rey was behind him, out of frame, levitating the object.

Yeah, and even if they do throw us a bone, it's most likely with a non-answer as in, not a direct put down or thumbs up that it's true just in case they could get in a lot of trouble...which is why I still consider all of the outlines and MSW "leaked" stuff just speculation when it comes to the details.

 

You know what *I* would like to see?

A pan down from space, but when we see Jakku there is a floating debris field in orbit left over from the battle of Jakku.

maybe the star destroyer and some ties firing on Poe's x-wing? could be cool if he hid in the debris field to loose them. maybe tap a piece of debris as he uses his thrusers that then begins its decent towards jakku... then we go into Rey seeing it hit the ground through electro-binoculars?

something like that
